I'm particularly excited about eTwinning projects as they offer a unique opportunity to collaborate with educators and students from across Europe. I'm looking forward to connecting with new colleagues, sharing ideas, and creating meaningful learning experiences together. Let's embark on this exciting journey of discovery and collaboration!

I have always tried to propose eTwinning to my students, as an interesting way of working that goes beyond the boundaries of our individual school and our country. The kids are always very involved in this type of school work. Then, when, also through the Erasmus project, it was possible to host people in our classes, the experience proved to be even more engaging.

My name is Sophia Michaelidou and I am a Science and Chemistry teacher at a secondary school called The English school. I am working with 6 year 1 (12 year old) students on this project.

In this eTwinning project on climate change, our students are exploring the effects of this phenomenon at the local, national, and global levels. Through various activities, the students research how climate change impacts the environment, people, and the economy, and reflect on possible solutions that can be implemented at the personal, school, and community levels.

Our main goal is to raise awareness among students about the importance of sustainability and respect for the environment, encouraging them to become change agents within their own communities. Furthermore, the project offers the opportunity to work in collaboration with other European schools, sharing data, ideas, and proposals to tackle this global challenge together.

Throughout the project, our students are using digital tools to research, create content, and present their findings, ranging from infographics to videos and interactive presentations. They are also participating in debates and awareness-raising activities that help them understand the magnitude of climate change and the urgent need to act to mitigate its impacts.

With this project, we aim not only for students to learn about climate change but also for them to become advocates for the environment, promoting more responsible and conscious behaviors in their daily lives.

We are very excited to see how each of our students is contributing to this global effort and we hope that, through this collaborative work, we can inspire the entire school community to take action and be part of the solution.
