He discovered India and would create trade for the new country. He was able to establish a long term strong empire using knowledge from Portugal's Imperialism that worked well in Asia. The Dutch explorer was best known for Looking for a shorter route from Europe to Asia in 1607 and then finding whats now Canada and found 3 water ways that are now named after him in also in 1607, the Hudson River, Hudson Bay, And the Hudson Strait. He was also credited for the exploration of the Northeastern United States and parts of Canada.
