I found the first course difficult (I’m not an English teacher), but exciting and I used with my students some of the materials of a rich platform. Now I try it again. I am a teacher who works with students with special needs and for this reason only few hours of my job time are in CLIL. I believe that CLIL is a good opportunity for students and even for teachers because together can improve their language skills. However Italian people has some troubles in foreign language and a lot of teachers, who are not English teachers, are too old to learn another language. This is a weakness's point. This is especially true for teachers who do not teach English. Last year I used Padlet with my students with special needs. It was very helpful and easy to use, as Voki useful for me to achieve a short lesson in English. I use Google applications to share documents with my students and colleagues. ICT and CLIL strength points: ICT is a great tool to convey the English language to the digital natives, as are our students today. Weaknesses: ICT should not completely replace the lesson, but to be a part of it, better if the students themselves to use them such as in a flipped classroom unit.

This is even more true for young people that can improve their foreign language competences. However there aren’t often school library for ER, as for example in my school. I have no experiences with ER because I’m teacher for student with special needs and my English’s teachers colleagues are not interested in use this method with students. They believe that students must learn only English grammatical rules and they must repeat them exactly, otherwise it is impossible to reach a sufficient evaluation and, obviously, these way of teaching disadvantages students with special needs. In this course I'm learning that it is possible to use a different way for teaching English, as for example in using tools as Snappywords and Rewordify for helping who has difficulties in English. But my question is: how  can I change my colleagues’ mentality? How  can I teach them that it is possible learning and fun at the same time? I'll certainly try to use these fantastic tools with students with special needs: Snappywords and Rewordify, also in a traditional English language lesson. But, if I’ll be able to,  I’ll use them in a CLIL lesson on Mathematics for example. Some of my Mathematics’s colleagues  likes to test new methodologies. We are working, for example, in a E-twinning project. The problem remains for teachers of English language, who might help us. I observed in preparing ER lesson that it is difficult for scientific disciplines, because books are few, not very interesting and boring. For this reason in my ER project, in order to catch students’ attention (Romances’ theme is firstly love), I decided to start with a romance book and only after I introduced the mathematical topic. In this way I tried to link Literature and Mathematics. I think that it is important read over and over again and ER is fantastic. But my question is: how can I change English teachers’ mentality? How can students approach to different kinds of readings if their teachers are not interested to do it?
