He wanted to study religion because that is what opened his eyes when he was younger. He also wanted to study zoology because he grew up with a zoo, and he enjoyed it.

Tigers will eat anything or anyone to satisfy their hunger. Pi's father showed them a demonstration of how dangerous a tiger can be.

While she was playing dead, hunters tried to pick her up. As they were in the middle of doing it she tried to sneak a hit to kill one of the hunters to get away.

Richard Parker is dangerous just like all tigers are. They're made to hunt, and that's all they'll ever do.

Pi was willing to do anything to feel social and feel like he was going to survive, at least for awhile.

He was weak from being hungry and thirsty. If Pi had the energy he was going to try and swim all the way home.

The cub was the only thing that was on the tigers mind. In a mother-baby relationship in our world, a mother would do anything to protect her child if she felt it was threatened. That's exactly what this tiger is doing.

"With a tiger abroad, my life is over" (135).

Pi believes that having a tiger on the boat, that he will be the tigers food and he will no longer live again. He thinks that the tiger is teasing him.

Richard Parker probably has no idea where she is, or what she's going to do. Both Pi and Richard Parker are doing their best fighting for their lives.
