Things I have learned about gardening are, how they have such an impact on us and the environment in many different ways. Like Gardens affect us mentally gardens help us have a positive aspect on the environment. Gardens also help us have positive attitudes as well. Gardens are also beneficial to us physically gardens help us get more physical activity in our everyday lives. Scientists say that normal workouts or physical activity only works on the arms, but gardens help excesise the entier body. Gardens are also beneficial to the environment, gardens help the environment and the community. Gardens help people of many ages in these communities. Gardens also help get fresh produce to local schools. Gardens also help reduce pollution in the air from factories, boats and ext. Gardens are also beneficial in many more ways like gardens get plant products to grocery stores. Gardens also encourage us to make more health decisions like eating healthy. Gardens are also told to help people who have been in hospitals calm down and feel safer. Gardens are also told to help people in prison make better decisions . Gardens also help at schools, especially schools that wake up early this helps kids who are stressed calm down and focus or tired wake up. At schools gardens also help with positive attitudes. Gardens are proven to prevent diseases. Gardens are beneficial to people of any age,Gardens help young kids be introduced to healthy decisions, And older people to decide to make themselves healthier. Gardens at schools can help everyone, gardens can help the teachers stay calm, kids have positive attitudes not only at the teachers but also to other students. Ways we can make the school a happier place is by having a garden at the entrance. For every kid who has had a bad morning. Gardens are beneficial to everyone inside and outside of school.

I have learned that gardening is hard and you haft to be their for the plants watering them every day and not to skip any but not to drowned them before I thought that the ground would soak it up and the plant would get it if it wanted some water but now I know that they will die if there is to much water. Also I have learned that the best water for a plant is rain water and that they some plants need more attention than others because other animal will try to eat them or they will die if it is a is a slow bloomer than it won't get the sunlight it needs. One more thing that I learned is that plants and gardening is helping us in mental and physical ways and they help everyone in different ways like participating and helping, being less shy, opping out to others, even trying out for something that they thought that they could never do. I also found out that gardening help people get better but otherwise before this class I never really knew anything about plants or gardening but I also learned that fresh grown fruits and vegetables are better than store bought and other stuff because they put chemicals on them to last longer but it makes them less healthy. Also community gardens help people because all the colors could help with the placebo effect on healthy stuff helping people see things but the healthy stuff can look like tic tacś. The gardens help people more than people help people by helping people help other people.

Throughout this whole project we have learned a lot about gardening and plants. For example, they take a lot of care and work to keep healthy and strong. There is lot behind gardening it’s not just planting them and leaving them to grow. They take a lot of responsibility to grow and take care of. For school, we have to look at the negatives and positives for growing a garden. For example, they can help prevent many disease such as heart disease, stroke, depression, premature death, osteoporosis and etcetera. Also, gardening gives you a lot of physical activity even though you may not notice. Like while you’re pulling the weeds you’re working out the arms, and while you’re planting it’s working out your whole body. Also we have to look at the negatives, who is going to take care of it when we’re on our breaks from school, like winter break, spring break, fall break, and even summer break? If we’re on summer break who will come to the school to water them, and make sure they’re getting enough sunlight? We have so many questions circling around us, and we need the answer. If we ask certain people to come and take of the gardens, we can’t trust anyone. What if they don’t show up? What if they’re busy that day? We’re risking the garden and all the plants. I had an I idea for June. Miss.Casey has a summer school class, and they’re working on gardening. They can work on it and keep it healthy and growing. They can pull the weeds, and keep it neat. For July, I don’t what we can do. Maybe, we can pick certain teachers that live close to the school, and ask them if they would be willing to do it. Those are all of my thoughts about this topic, and things we have learned.

It can help with depression, stress, ADHD, high blood pressure, cancer, etc. This shows how gardening can be beneficial to are health. Getting the fresh air of a garden then going running will make you feel good. Kids at school like to go to gardens for fresh air, helping them get a high score on there test. Gardening can keep you active and keep your heart rate up. Gardening strengthens your bones and joints. It also lower blood pressure.

I have learned that when you garden you can improve your physical and mental health because when you see that cool color of the flowers and you get that fresh bit of oxygen because the flower takes in the carbon dioxide and turns it into fresh air. I have also learned that when your flowers are dropping then you need to face them toward the sun so the sun can pick them up with its sun rays. I have also learned what kind environment we live in. We do not live in a environment where there are lots and lots of trees, but some schools do have that environment with lots and lots of trees because those trees were growing for a very long time. We are just getting started on gardening so it might take us a while for us to achieve our goal to get those nice environmental trees. I have also learned how we need to keep the weeds out of our garden because they will survive in any type of weather. It is also hard to transfer plants outside because they are not use to the weather so you have to wait til it is about the same whether. For a place with no trees to transform into a forest can take almost 200 years because they are starting right from the dirt and like how they grow all those flowers at the Missouri botanical gardens. That must have took a while because they have all those special thing and flowers like the glow.I never knew how much flowers did for our health until I learned all this I just knew they provide oxygen and helped us with physical and mental health. Lots of people do not know about all the thing gardens do to help us with our life.

Before I did this class I new a grand total of nothing but, now I learned how to nic a seed, not to water to much, and I learned everything has to be perfect for that plant. I figured out the tiniest mistake can ruin a garden but the tiniest garden can affect your mental health to make you happier. When I was by the garden I get way more calm. I realized that gardening wasn't as easy as i thought it would. I learned partners water different than I think it should be done I found out why the garden was dieing. In my opinion the world would be way more mean and stressful without gardens. With gardens they can be the antidote to diseases like depression and obesity and underage death and ecxt. Also I never knew gardens can give you a placebo effect which helps sports and school. I now know what placebo means wich is when you think something is this but it is not but because you do it happens. Example you think a tic tac is a wonder drug that fixes everything and you take it your brain tricks you to think you don't have the pain. So that can make me think I have faster typing than I do so I type fast. I started to think of gardens as when your in mario when you get the star and you can do things you normally can't.

Also I thought gardens where just flowers but I learned how wrong I was their not just their to be pretty. They help your mental health in ways I never knew about before as them being a stress reliever. Now I keep trying to find out to make a garden because how much it affects a community.

I learned that plants could help with depression and stress. I also learned that gardening is a way of exercise and a way to get some fun into your day. I also learned how beneficial it is to our health, even premature death. Gardening also boosts your mood, and protect you from certain diseases. I also learned gardening also includes individual health and also to serve as components of broader community based by health. Gardening helps bring communities together, they give you opportunities and skills. Gardening is like a game of patience you have to water them let them sit outside in the sun in till they are tall enough to transplant. Transplanting is a very hard method. You have to wait in till the plant is big enough then you move the plant from a small pot to a bigger one or the ground. Did you know gardening also helps us in many ways you would never think of, like physically! According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “ Moderate-intensity level activity for 2.5 hours each week can reduce the risk for obesity, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, heart disease, stroke, depression, colon cancer, and premature death.” This is why gardening is beneficial to our health in various ways. Gardening could also expand the school as in greeting kids in the morning and boosting there mood.Which is saying, that most physical activities only exercise the arms, but gardening exercises the whole body. Gardening is a way to get people outdoors and have some physical activity. These are all the different benefits of gardening. Including preventing sickness including CDC, cancer, and depression even premature death. Gardening gives learning opportunities for people of many ages, gardening also helps behavioral health related to respect and positivity. The most helpful benefit to the environment is that gardens reduce pollution in the air from factories.

I have learned gardening is very good for our physical and mental health and that it helps with illnesses like depression because gardening can be calming. I knew how to garden but I learned how it was important for our society.

Gardening can help with physical health because its a way for us to get outside and have fun. It also helps bring people together and make friends which can make people happy. If you plant a food garden, it’ll make you want to try new foods and recipes, this will be good for picky eaters to try new things and be more healthy. Another illness it can help with is asthma because when gardening it can give you fresh air, preventing an asthma attack. Gardening can also help with our school because it can be something we can work up towards to so it’s like a reward.

Having a garden in our school could also make the school look nice if we put them in the front of the school. Gardening could also bring classes together and get to know each other better. If we have a garden that could mean less time on phones, TVs, computers, and youtube. Gardening at school can help lower our anxiety which could make us focus more in class and get better grades and do our homework better. Gardening could also make us more happy at school which means happy kids. t helps with mental health by making us focus more and maybe even more energized in the day and at school. For people with depression they can have a garden as a getaway place because it can be relaxing lowers there anxiety. Having a garden can make us more involved with each other.

I have learned a lot about gardening. Mostly on how it can affect us mentally and physically. I didn’t really ever think about how helpful gardening can be. As we research more we find new things about gardening everyday. One thing that was really interesting to me is that many places like hospitals, rehab facilities, nursing homes, and prisons use gardens to help people. They help with stress. Stress is a really big thing that lots of kids in our school deal with. So, a garden can help them all. Just seeing are smelling gardens can help people. The school will just look more neat and cared for. When people see the school they might think better. It’s also crazy how gardens can help fight against some diseases. Plants are used in medicine and many therapeutic drugs. They can even help with things as big as cancer. There are so many good things to do with gardening. We can use them in many ways but there is only one downfall. How will we keep them alive when we are not at school. It’s not that easy. We can’t really get adult helpers because they probably have things to do. What we can do is have the summer academy class help with it. They can have fun while growing the big plants and they will be growing the starting ones. They can compare the two gardens. The garden will provide even more education for the people who are just starting their gardening experience. So, these plants will most likely be fine. Also, as they get bigger they will get brighter and bigger. That means that they will affect people even more. The hard work to keep the gardens alive is definitely worth it. Everyone will enjoy the experience and they will learn so much.

We can have some school staff members take care of it or we could just not plant them and wait till school starts again and that will be easier. A good way to do that is to set up a chart and all the teachers can sign up and take care of the plants over break. And if we don’t plant them yet then it will give them a little more time to grow so when we plant them they will be bigger than before.Plus it will be warmer so they can grow and we don’t have to worry about it being cold also it will give students an opportunity to help plant the plant the plants and take care of them. Such as watering them everyday when they have you for fourth hour. Students next year will have a chance of doing what we did this year so they don’t feel left out. This way our plants won’t die because nobody takes care if them. Student could also be responsible for taking care of the plants. Only the student that have proven there levels of maturity and responsibility. If we do that than we have better people taking care of our plants. Or all of us can pitch in students and teachers so than the student/ teachers aren't doing all the work. Another way is we can keep track of them maybe set up a camera and check on them to make sure nobody is messing them up or if animals are eating them. That can also help with keeping people responsible like if somebody says they did but didn’t they can be held accountable for what they did. And this is how we can fully implement our garden and keep it alive for as long as we can.

I have learned a lot from gardening. I have learned that gardening is beneficial to our health and beneficial to our school. Schools need gardens because it helps us learn and focus more. When we started gardening, I felt more calm and focused. Gardens help us in a lot of ways like mentally and physically. Mentally, it can help you focus and calm down, and physically, it can reduce the commonness of illnesses, like cancer, heart disease and so on. It makes you more physically active too. Gardening is very fun in my opinion. I had fun while we gardened. Gardens make our school look nicer and more cared for. Organizations use gardens to have a positive impact on people and patients. Some examples of places are prisons, hospitals, rehab facilities, and nursing homes. These organizations use gardens sometimes to make people less stressed, and more motivated. Clearly there is lots of things that could help a school mentally and physically, but the best way would be to have a garden.A school garden would be beneficial for several reasons. When people see the nice environment, they will be motivated to keep it that way. Parents and other people who see the school will think it’s reliable. I have also learned that a garden is hard to take care of with a busy schedule, because you have water it every day, make make sure that it doesn't have too much water or soil, and make sure that it’s growing right. It’s hard to maintain a school garden in the summer. Teachers and staff members can volunteer to help out with the school garden on days that we don't have school, like in the summer, winter, and spring breaks, they can come to school, water the plants, and make sure they look fine and healthy, then they could go home.

I have learned that gardening has many effects and benefits for our health and that it can help us in many ways and you might not even know it. For example according to the CDC ¨moderate intensity level activity gardening for two ½ hours each week can reduce the risk for obesity, High blood pressure, osteoporosis, stroke, colon cancer, premature death, etc.” This shows how much of an impact gardening can make in our lives and without it the world would be in danger. Believe it our not gardening also improves test scores among fellow students. According to journal biological psychiatry, some experts even say that the fresh air from gardening can help prevent ADHD and can result in higher test scores among students! Gardening connects you with the earth and other living elements of the natural world. This connection can add perspective to our human existence and can improve our mental health. Gardening also keeps you active and keeps your heart rate up. Gardening provides a wide range of physical activity through digging, planting and weeding. Gardening is not only a good way to get some exercise, but a good way to get some fresh air. Physical activity can help strengthen bones and joints, lower blood pressure, and help manage stress. An experiment showed that kids at schools with gardens were more physically active at school for 10 more minutes a week than before their school had gardens. That was an increase of four times what peers experienced at schools without gardens. That actually shows with evidence that schools got more physical activity and therefore if our school had a garden we would have a major physical activity boost among students since most students are on electronics these days. For me all of this information makes me think where has gardening been all our lives but it's not too late to start now so go outside and make the world a better place.

I have learned that gardening has been effective to everybody's health for many many years. It makes you more active, mentally and physically. Gardening brings wildlife to the area we plant. The flowers that we have planted will bring clean oxygen to our school. The flowers outside of the school will bring happy faces into the building. Maybe just the look of the plants will make someone's day. Gardening will bring more people to your school and the people at our school will be motivated to keep our school looking nice. The school would be rated better from the garden, which will bring more people to the school. Then our school will be more popular in our area. The beautification of our school can benefit both students and the teachers. People will think that our school is more reliable than others. Gardens are at hospitals, prisons, rehab facilities, parks, and old folk homes. Some schools or people have gardens just to have fresh fruits or vegetables. I personally think that if you grow foods from home or have your school grow them they are safer then buying them from a store. Most of the time stores spray chemicals onto the product so it will stay fresh longer. Sometimes the chemicals they use are poisonous and harmful. This can harm us and animals. Gardens are great because they can affect anyone no matter what race, age, or gender. So anyone could plant or make gardens.

I think that some trustworthy students can take them home for summer. They will have to water and care for them to make sure that they will stay alive. Maybe if they go to summer school they can bring a few of the plants to the gardening class. They can use the plants as an example to help the students understand what the plants can turn into if you really try. When summer is over they can put the plants back. If the plants die the caretaker of them will have to plant new ones. We would be best to put a note card taped on the back of it.

I have learned that gardening can impact someone’s life completely. All it takes is a few hours of gardening and your life could be very different. For instance, gardening can help manage stress, reduce your risk of diseases, and other illnesses. Someone could be suffering from a severe illness, disease, or cancer and if you garden, that can help all of that. If we have a garden in our school, it can implement it by putting students in better moods for the day. Also, if a student has depression, the garden can calm them down for the day and make them more relaxed. Gardens can help especially on test days because gardens help our mental health. When the students walk into the doors, the gardens make their mood and their brains more relaxed. Gardens in general make people healthy, happy and so positive! If you have a few gardens at your school, it sometimes makes it look better and more welcoming to important guests. Gardens would be great at schools. If you have a vegetable garden t home, it can make you want to try new foods. It’s better to eat vegetables than junk food. If an older person has a garden at their house, it provides a wide range of physical activity through digging planting and weeding. Gardens can possibly make older people live longer because it helps illnesses, diseases, and stress. It’s simple! If you are suffering from any type of illness, just garden! Maybe if you can’t stop going on your phone, playing video games, or talking to your friends, you can garden which makes you stop doing those other things and you garden instead.Once again, gardening can help manage stress, reduce mental illnesses and help prevent cancer and diabetes. Overall, gardening can change someone's life completely just by doing some gardening!

Gardening can lower stress levels too! Plus it doesn't matter what race, gender,or age you are to plant a garden. We have also learned that if your plants are drooping down you can switch your pot to where the sun is facing. Also if it is drooping you maybe putting to much water in there soli. Planting gardens can also improve our health physically and mentally, and you can learn about nature and wildlife. The wild life will come to our school and we can study the animals, and insects. If we do plant fruits and vegetables we will have fresh fruit and vegetables for lunch, we will also have more fresh air getting fresh air before we go back into the school the more people will listen because they are clam. We learned that if we put a school garden in our school it will make the environment look better and the school will get more rating about how pretty it is and professional it looks. We can fully implement our school garden by, when the school garden need water in the summer. The summer academy student and the teacher can and will water the garden. For school now we can go outside maybe every other day to water the plants so the garden won't die. We can put the garden by the soccer field up the hill where the seats are. So when we go outside for a class, doing homework, going outside for fun Friday, we can observe the wild life for a project and/or just for fun!

I have learned that gardens can help with physical and mental health because it is very calming and relaxing also it takes a lot of work to grow and care for gardens and get them just right for our school and principal. And how gardens can help hospital patients. We could also implement by getting to go outside more and being able to see all the flowers and flower beds that we made for our school. All the teachers and kids would be able to go outside and we could study for tests or even do what we are learning in class without us being hyper because we could have fresh air and move around a lot more than we could in a class. Maybe even sometimes we could eat our lunch outside.gardens can make us happier because it brings people together and is a way for us to make new people witch is good for us and our health to get outside and have a lot of fun. I also learned that you can't over water the flowers but you can't miss any either because i used to think that the flowers would just soak it up in there roots.i used to think that flowers could go over 10 days without being watered but now i know that you have you have to water them every single day and when there roots get to big for the small pot you have to move it over to a bigger pot. Sometimes they can take a long time before they will actually plant but after they do it's definitely worth it with all the good things they can do for your health.gardening has helped me learn new things and taught me how to become better at participating in class more. Gardening can be difficult but also very fun to see them grow and come along way .

I have learned that gardening has many benefits, such as prevents diseases like heart disease, obesity, reduces anxiety, stress and depression. It also builds confidence, self esteem, and pride. and can also promote healthy eating and exercise habits as well as team work. I have also learned that different plants have different needs similar to how humans do. Which would enable students to treat others the same. Students with ADHD will benefit from tending to a school garden also. It can improve focus as well as a boost in energy. The fresh air from being outside will open the mind to learning and helps with asthma by breathing fresh air and opening the lungs. Anyone any age, race, religion, and gender can learn to garden and it will benefit from them. It varies in difficulty by what you plant and the location you plant it in. There is some plants that grow better in certain climates, which will vary depending on where the plant originates from. You should start off with a very nutrient rich soil. It acts as a baby food for seeds to grow happy and healthy. We learned that some plants, you can't just put in the ground and water it. Some seeds need to be soaked in water overnight. And others need to be nicked. But there is some seeds that need to be soaked and nicked, and lucky for you, there is seeds that you can put strait in the ground. When we worked in groups, everyone had a certain job to do. It gave everyone a sense of worth and responsibility. It prepares students for the real world when they have to collaborate with others on a project or report. There is so many uses for plants and gardens such as landscaping and decoration. But they also are used in hospitals and recovery centers. Studies show that people recover faster when looking at greenery than people without greenery within sight. And when students are exposed to gardens, there test scores are higher than when they aren't. This proves that there are definitely benefits to gardening in schools. It keeps students active so they aren't sitting in a chair all class period. They are engaging in a hands on experience that everyone can take something into life from. Although some students aren't hands on learners, that doesn't mean they will not take something from the experience.
