Vietnam is a Big Fan of Globalization

About 95% of Vietnam's citizens agree that "Globalization is good". They believe that trade creates more job opportunities and increasing wages. A 2015 statistic claims that Vietnam's GDP per capita was almost $2,200. Economic growth has increased and poverty rates have decreased at tremendous rates. Vietnam's poverty rates in 1993 was about 60%, and it has fallen down to 14% as of 2015. Vietnam could raise the standard of living faster if Vietnam continues to increase trade and economic growth, by producing and exporting more expensive products (like electronics). Globalization has the potential to do many great things, if it is used properly

http://qz.com/690280/vietnam-is-globalizations-last-big-fan/

International relations can be risky and unpredictable. Many of the most common exports/trade items could be used as weapons against other nations. Nations continue to use their goods and services from other countries are being transformed to be used as weapons for warfare. They should actually be using their imports for their intended use, but that is becoming less common. globalization is being turned into "the Weaponization of Everything". Technology is being used in warfare to hack into the more sensitive (upper level) government computers , which is known as cyber - warfare. The misuse of imported goods would discourage countries from wanting to trade anymore.

http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debate/2015/09/24/the-weaponization-of-everything-globalizations-dark-side/

Globalization is good for trade because it is less expensive. Usually the goods that are more commonly imported and purchased are cheaper. They are cheaper because of globalization and they cost less to produce. Cost of production is less expensive because the country would over work and underpay their employees, with little to no safety nets or insurance. Their employees would have very little money to buy things they need, so they would have bad health conditions. Globalization is associated with the rising inequality of wealth and the suffering Human Development Index in some countries like in Somalia or the Solomon Islands.
http://www.nber.org/digest/mar07/w12347.html

Globalization Threatens Cultural Expression

Globalization and new technologies is becoming a threat to Latin American culture and expression. Wide spread exports would generalize what products are being sold in the countries importing the products. Then they loose their individuality and personal expression, because everyone is buying the same products. For example, iPhones are sold in many nations around the world. So, everyone who buys an iPhone becomes more similar to everyone else who has one. And iPhones do not have much culture, and they are originally an American product. So, other countries that are consuming many imports from another country would eventually lose their own.
http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/entertainment/2016/05/29/globalization-threatening-latam-cultural-expression-expert-says/

Workers are upset thanks to the increasing inequality from the broken deals in the FTA. The FTA is a Free Trade Agreement, between Canada and the U.S. .There were full page ads supporting this FTA, promising it would increase employment with more benefits. Over 270,000 Canadians had lost their jobs. The biggest supporters of the deal was the Business Council on National Issues, and they are the ones who set up the advertisements. Their whole purpose was to compete with the people who were warning the Canadians that they would lose their jobs. And of course they were right and the BCNI was wrong.
http://www.counterpunch.org/2016/05/27/are-we-witnessing-the-beginning-of-the-end-of-globalization/

Globalization does increase trade, but countries that export products for little money, they don't make much revenue. So, they would lay off employees and pay them very low salaries. The people who lost their jobs now have fixed incomes, so they don't have much to spend. The people who kept their jobs are now being paid to little, so their budgets are not flexible. Now that everyone has less money and can't afford basic needs, the Human Development Index will decrease at increasing rates. More people will become homeless and hungry because of the lacking of wealth spread in their country.
http://www.nber.org/papers/w5424

Countries that were the worlds greatest trade source in 1870 until now. By the late 1800's, China had the largest economy, although it wasn't very involved universally. Then the U.K.'s economy became the largest economy. The GDP in America has increased allot between 1870 and now, it doubled from 1870 to 1913. And the GDP percentage in China is almost five times higher in 2010 than it was in 1950. Globalization has increased tremendously over time, which would correspond with the increase in economic activity in rising nations. Predictions based off of the statistics claim that more countries economic activity will increase at higher rates.
http://www.gurufocus.com/news/416527/gernsteinfisher--globalization-past-present-and-future

Globalization Causes More Cooperative Trade Deals

Globalization makes the many economies more cooperative in terms of international trade . Economies within different countries cooperate with each other when they trade. Globalization promotes free trade, so when two countries want to trade they will get rid of any barriers to trade to appeal to the other country. If different countries cooperate with each other, it will encourage more countries to also uses free trade because they want to appeal to others. Globalization encourages cooperation between nations to establish a free trade agreement, so potentially over time, importing and exporting will be easier and less expensive between every country.
http://www.njit.edu/features/faculty/post-consumer-world.php

Globalization would take down barrier to trade between nations, so trade would be easier for every nation involved. A good example would be NAFTA (North American Trade Agreement) which is a trade agreement between Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. NAFTA makes sure that trade between the three countries would be easy and have little to no barriers to trade. Globalization makes trade easier, so more countries import more products. So, the consumers have a wider selection of products and prices. So, every country involved with globalization would sell more products (because globalization make trade easier) and overall economic activity would increase allot, from globalization.

https://blog.udemy.com/pros-and-cons-of-globalization/

Without globalization, emerging countries would undergo great decline in international trade. The industries producing their exports would have to produce less, so they would have to lay off many of their employees and/or decrease their salaries. The decrease in employment would cause a decline in economic activity, because the consumers have less to spend. With globalization, emerging countries would be able to trade more for a smaller price with little to no barriers to trade. Globalization would increase employment, so more people would have more money to spend, and increase economic activity. Globalization is necessary for emerging countries to flourish.
http://www.newsmax.com/Finance/MohamedElErian/anti-trade-worries-emerging-countries/2016/05/31/id/731445/
