*Selected as a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship to attend Oxford University

*Freelances; ghostwriting op-eds and public statements for leaders in the progressive movement space, and also as a journalist, contributing regularly to national publications like Mother Jones, Teen Vogue, In These Times, The Brooklyn Rail, among others

*Recently selected for a fellowship to attend a short-term writing residency with Sundress Publications’ Academy for the Arts in Knoxville, Tennessee(hopes to complete novel manuscript)

*Currently works as a program manager in Washington, DC at PEN America, a 100 year old organization dedicated to defending the freedom to write and recognizing the power of the word to transform the world.

*Currently works at Shuman Public Relations in Manhattan as a social media specialist for classical music and opera

Zea lives her life like age is just a number and as she would say

"You can't touch this."

Doreen and Edwin are now married and living in their new Home in Marietta Ga.

Doreen has retired from the Corporate world, and now is an independent business owner of her own health plan agency.

The agency is,

ZE health plan consulting,

named after her mother Zea.

Edwin is still actively at work, enjoys fishing and Pittsburg Steelers football in his spare time.

Doreen and Edwin enjoy their travel life.

The couple have fond memories of Cruising through the streets of Havana while in Cuba and horseback riding in Mexico.

I feel so blessed to finally meet my Harrison Family! I'm also very happy that my spouse, Ron and son, Malik are also attending their first Harrison family reunion. We currently reside in Maryland. Ron and I are retired federal employees and he enjoys fishing anytime and everywhere he can. I am a part-time adjunct faculty member at a local community college. We also enjoy traveling non-stop, taking road trips as much as possible. Malik is a federal employee working for the Department of Health and Human Services after receiving his Master of Public Administration degree in 2021.
