It is an example of absolutism because the emperors rights are not restricted and like others the emperor is chosen "by the heavens" as well.
3. It is an example of absolutism because once again the King's power has no limitation.
4. It becomes absolutism by Mussolini cutting the restrictions made on his power.

Absolutism or not?
1. I think that this is not absolutism because they had to give some of their power to the parliament therefore they don't have all of the power which means its not absolutism.
2. This is an example of absolutism because they believe that the ruler was sent from God and that they need respect and power over everyone.
3. I think since the king has power but wasn't chosen by God this in not an example of absolutism
4. I think since we don't know how he was elected that we can assume this is absolutism because he has control over everything, he especially has control finically.

1. This is not absolutism because parliament has some power.
2. This is absolutism because the emperor doesn't have to listen to his advisors, and he is supposedly chosen by the heavens.
3. While the king has complete power in this situation, this is not absolutism because he is not chosen by God.
4. This one is tricky, because there is nothing in the article that is specifically not absolutism, but it also doesn't mention God. I think this is absolutism, but we can't be sure from this excerpt because it does not contain enough information.

1. I believe this is not an example of absolutism because the king and queen of England worked with the parliament, showing that they do not have all the power.
2. This is an example of absolutism because the emperor of China had all the power. He makes all the decisions, has centralized authority, could not be challenged by anyone, and had the divine right to rule.
3. This is not an example of absolutism because, though the monarch makes the final decision in the end, he has different councils that will make decisions with him. Also, he was not chosen by God.
4. I believe this is an example of absolutism because, though it does not state he has the divine right to rule, he had absolute power over Italy and controlled the military and propaganda.

1. This is not an example of absolutism as King William and Queen Mary do not declare themselves the sole sovereigns of England, holding all of the power. They work collaboratively with Parliament and all of its branches to govern and refuse to monopolize the government.
2. This is an example of absolutism because the rulers declared themselves to be chosen by God, eliminated all opposition, and work to centralize their power alone.
3. This is not an example of absolutism because though the king exercises ultimate reign, he has to work collaboratively with other members of the government, and he was appointed by royal family members, not God.
4. Though Mussolini doesn't fit all the criteria of engaging in absolutism, he definitely showcases absolutist traits, monopolizes the government and people, and rules without considering the perspectives of others.

1. I don't think the first example is absolutism because King William and Queen Mary used the English Bill of Rights and so that restricted some of their power. Plus they had to talk to Parliament so that meant they did not have all the power.
2. I think this is absolutism because the Chinese believed that the right to rule was granted from heaven and the people in charge could not be challenged by anyone.
3. I do not think this is absolutism because yes the King does have final authority but the Council of Ministers is in charge of some policies and the people in power are not chosen by God
4. I think this is absolutism because Mussolini had complete control of everything and got rid of constitutional restraints and outlawed parliamentary elections.

1. I believe that this first passage is not and example of Absolutism because the monarchs of England were associated with the parliament, which means they both had power.

2. This second passage would be an example of absolutism because the emperor of China held all of the power over society. He was allegedly chosen by God, therefore he was immediatley granted power over anyone in which no would could challenge against.

3. This is not an example of absolutism because although monarch does have help while making final decisions within the community. He was also not chosen by God.

4. I believe that this could be absolutism because Mussolini had obtained power over society and immediately became a dictator by eliminating the other opposers or power.

1. The first example is not absolutism because "[King William and Queen Mary] accepted the English Bill of Rights which required the monarchy to work with Parliament to govern the country". Absolutism must give all power to the monarch(s), so sharing power with a parliament is not absolutism.
2. The second example is absolutism because "Chinese law dictated that the emperor’s position could not be challenged by anyone". The rulers also called themselves "Sons of Heaven". Due to the fact that the ruler doesn't answer to anyone, this is absolutism.
3. The third example is not absolutism because "Monarchs are chosen by members of the royal family and approved by Muslim legal scholars in accordance to the Qur’an and Shari’ah (Islamic law)". The monarch is chosen and ruled with the "council of ministers" so it is not absolutism.

This is not absolutism, because they share some power, and even though they have the final say in decisions, the council of ministers also has a say.
4.This is absolutism because he got rid of anyone who disagreed with him. This is an example of absolute power. This is because it first said that they belive they were granted by heaven to rule the country which is a first sign. Then they said how the emperor could make all the decisions because he/she had all the power
3. This is not absolutism because the king works with the Consultive Council and the Council of Ministers
4. This is hard to decide. It says how the king has all the power yet he still sometimes listens to the people. In the end I think it is absolutism.

This is true because it states that King William and Queen Mary allowed Parliament to to control the finances and taxes, therefore, the King and Queen were not in control of everything.
2.This example does represent absolutism. This is true because it correlates religion with power, for they believed that "the right to rule China is granted by Heaven". There were other roles in government and society, but the emperors did not have and restrictions on what they could or could not do.
3.The third example is n
