First of all, the nurse is that professional figure who deals with nursing care. The characteristics, that every nurse should have, are empathy which is essential to establish good communication in order to make the patient feel understood and to understand what he wants: then diplomacy, essential for calming disputes and nervousness in order to keep straight the conversation: finally  also intuition, as thanks to this the nurse is able to find immediate solutions and is also able to recognize if the patient is having some serious problem in progress. 

The skills that a good nurse must have are certainly the skills in assistance, technical-organizational skills to plan and carry out assistance interventions, knowledge of first aid techniques, flexibility and adaptability, resistance to stress and physical fatigue, reliability, precision and patience.

I could become a good nurse because I think I have all the skills and requirements to do this job, from being empathetic to being able to communicate up to acquiring all the notions of care.

ANAESTHESIA 
Anesthesia generically indicates the loss of sensitivity, consciousness and pain associated with muscle relaxation. The drugs that are used to induce anesthesia act by temporarily blocking the nerve impulses that reach the central nervous system and cause pain perception.
When the effect of the anesthesia ends, there is a gradual restoration of nervous function such as to restore total sensitivity.
The change came thanks to the development of anesthetics in the 19th century which gave a turning point especially in the operative field. Before the discovery, very few invasive operations were performed by surgeons. In fact, many doctors used alcohol and morphine in order to reduce pain but most of these died on the operating table.
We have different types of anesthesia:
- local anesthesia, used to desensitize specific parts of the body and does not involve the central nervous system but only the peripheral nerve endings
- regional anesthesia, used to desensitize specific nerve plexuses of the body such as epidural in the case of caesarean section
-general anesthesia, used in major and minor surgery operations involving the central nervous system, leading to complete unconsciousness in the patient. 
Finally, we can confirm that currently anesthesia is a very common practice, especially in the surgical branch, but above all safer for the patient.

The person I want to describe is called Claudia. A nurse from the Pediatric Dialysis unit. She is the best nurse I have ever met and known during my career as a student nurse. About her I can say that she has extraordinary professionalism, empathy, intuition, diplomacy and above all she is an excellent teacher. This is precisely what differentiates her from other nurses, who are equally good, but do not have her innate ability to get you fully into her reasoning. I remember when he explained the dialysis machine to me, he did it by making me fully enter into the subject by the only reasoning he led me to without ever skipping a step. I think there are very few nurses like her who love their work. And this is exactly what I admire most of all about her, as well as being very good both theoretically and practically.
