This play/ Musical offers any amazing stage performance 🎭 With grand emotional music that draws the audience in. This is an important play, because it shows a love story that came from an unlikely relationship between a king and his childrens teacher. It also taps in on interracial relationships and how duty was put before love. The battle is between Racism and sexism is what makes it important it brings it to a larger audiences attention and open minds and show they women are just as capable as men, and someone’s race doesn’t. Ask them less then .

What I enjoyed most about this class, is that it opened up my eyes to what theater can truly bring your audience. Social activism is woven through the fabric of theater. Bringing attention to the human condition ,and the struggles that we all go through, and what things need to be changed and improved on. Harlem renaissance , brought a sense of pride and put spot light on racism and thing that need to be changed. Theater engages people in away that doesn’t make them feel forced into seeking the change the world needs it inspires them.
