Okay, so here's a page about Western Art, or "Classical Music", but before we get to all the good bits, I want to get past the formal side, i.e., "Legal Stuff". 

Okay, for starters, I kind of LOVE classical music. If you;re following along with my other posts, (which you definitely should be) then you know that I play violin, and have done so for quite some time. Personally, I define Classical Music as the beginning of the music revolution. My Spotify playlist, titled "The Originals", (rightfully so, I believe) contains all of my classical songs from popular composers like Vivaldi, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Holst, Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, and a few others. I feel as though classical composers paved the foundation of what music has become today. Almost every aspect of music can be tied with some aspect of Classical Music. From this, we get the idea of the canon, whick I think closely relates to the higher status association that we feel whenever we find ourselves listening to this particular genre of music. It's as if the music that most people associate with now is a more diluted version of what was created back then, which would explain why listening to Classical Music is almost an acquired taste!

I suppose it's different for people who aren't really involved with this style of music, and it might be heard in a completely different way, and that's perfectly fine. I guess the best way of interpreting that is to think about the last time you read an article in a history book that was written from the perspective of the people who lost every battle!

The same can be applied to music.
