I see a sense of structure and symmetry with an upward energy, leading to an unorganised or chaotic collection of shapes and movement. Unintentionally, I see a tree formation 

 

What does that make me think of? 

 

The bottom half makes me think of maps - with a sensation of zooming out. The organic shapes make me think of something wild and unnatural, bubbling or growing. 

 

What wonderings does that lead me to? 

 

I wonder how the shapes could grow and continue - how they would fill up the blank space and how the circular shapes would mingle among the straight lines 

I SEE two figures in the midst of jumping and diving. They are surrounded by a warm blue in the sky among a full moon and clouds. One cloud slightly covers the moon as if to comfort it. There is a variety to the clouds -  crisp white sections, then hazy erased areas. 

 

I THINK there is a solid and fragile element about the clouds - how they hold and are grounding, whilst being malleable to dive through. I think the moon enjoys watching the figures play in the sky. I think the figures like the feeling of diving - the figure swinging its arms looks confident and other looks ultimately free as it gently arches it body. 

 

I WONDER

I wonder what the temperature is like, if there is a cool mist as you dive through the clouds and if you can feel its moisture.  I wonder if the clouds like being disturbed. I wonder if the moon is lonely. 

We can acquire sensory from our environment. When conducting an art performance through listening to music and drawing simultaneously, we realise the connections we imagine from that stimulus. It takes sound and translates it to subject matter, intensifying our sensory knowledge of not just what music sounds like, but what it may look like. 

An imaginary world knows no bounds, so the limitations of sound in our world doesn’t apply creating endless possibilities of how listening, sound and music can be expressed. 

I notice sensory interpretations - experience like how the wind felt as it moved - making its own map 

I think there is an ability to make space for self; a freedom of presence 

I wonder what other extraordinary qualities in the ordinary I miss when not attune to my sense and the present

Humans love to personify everything. Human to pet dog: “Oh, don’t you love wearing that cute costume Snuffles?” Human to pet hamster: “Look! Oreo loves watching TV with us!”. Giving animals human qualities could often be done in a condescending way that most of us don’t even realise. Do our beloved pets truly feel happy and loved?  What is this like from their perspective? "Personification” captures what it might feel like for the animals living in a world dominated by humans.
