Additional needed power came from other states and Canada. Coal-fired power plants in Wyoming, Oregon, and Nevada supply significant amounts of Idaho's power, but several of those coal-fired plants are facing closure in the next few years.</li><li>Hydroelectric power supplied 60% of net electricity generation in Idaho in 2017, the third-largest share in the nation.
