Intergenerational fairness is having equal rights, resources and living standards among future, past and present generations and they are try to warn people about what happens if they behave like there is no tomorrow and giving suggestions about how can people provide intergenerational equity. Sustainability has three pillars ; Economic, Social and Environmental. Economic pillar means protecting our resources when producing products. Social pillar represents that people should not be greedy and take all resources for themselves, they need to share and they should protect their workers and their jobs. And finally Environmental pillar stands for equity between past, present and future generations resources. The authors suggest that we should be more informed about usage of resources otherwise we may face problems in terms of policy and practicse. Briefly if we need to explain the pillars of sustainability, economic sustainability means protecting our resources, us-workers- and our jobs; environmental sustainability means sharing our resources in equity with the future generations; social sustainability means maintaining a healthy community even in the future in terms of resources. The authors also try to convince us about fairness among the generations. The authors states about that the environmental problems that could occur in the future for the future generations. Many of the environmental issues could be significantly important, he  they states many things and also talks about how Sustainable ility development have been neglected and reflected to the people. He supports the idea of saving the world for the future generations because, he mentions about the future needs of the future generations. Wwhich he strongly supports his idea by giving the quote, 
''Sustainability claims that environmental and natural resources must be shared with future generations, because natural resources are a common heritage of mankind to which every generation should have the same right of access (Asheim, Buchholz, & Tungodden, 1999)'' (at this stage of summarizing you cannot directly quote ideas, you need to paraphrase ideas - rewrite in your own words!) The authors provides this example, to prove the people stress that mankind should have the right to get the same food, water, livable resources like the centuries ago people did. He talks (use a stronger reporting verb) about the usage of these harmful unfriendly environmental hateful acts, that would not be helpful to those that will carry on the humanity. He also believes that, we are so ignorant and should take actions on sustainable development, about those toxic wastes, air pollutions, and etc.
