Retinal degeneration - deterioration of the retina 

Ocular Albinism - genetic condition that reduces the pigmentation (coloring) of the eye

Cataracts - clouding of the eye's natural lens  

Glaucoma - when there is an increased pressure in the eye that causes gradual vision loss

Diabetic retinopathy - occurs with people who have diabetes, overtime there can be damage to the blood vessels in the retina

Hyperopia - when a person can see faraway objects better than nearby objects 

Myopia - when a person can see objects nearby, but have difficulty seeing objects faraway

Strabismus - eyes are not straight; each eye sends a different message to the brain

Astigmatism - blurred or distorted images

Partially sighted - there is some sort of vision problem with sight ranging from 20/70 to 20/200 after correction with glasses

Low vision -  severe visual impairment

Legally blind - less than 20/200 vision in better eye or limited vision 

Totally blind - complete darkness
