Multicultural activities/support group for refugees (Monikulttuurisuustoimintaryhmä) organize Suomi-café, a meeting place for people from all cultures.

This event is open for everyone, no need for registration. Just pop in. You can also attend as a volunteer in organizing the event.

Volunteers give homework help for students learning Finnish or in Finnish (läksyhelppi).

Suomi-Café is open on Thursdays 5-7 p.m. at Antonin talo, Öllerinkatu 3. Läksyhelppi starts at 4.30.

Toisto-group for learning Finnish is organized at the branch office every Wednesday and Thursday 4.30-5.30 p.m. and on Thursdays also 5.30-6.30 p.m. Address: Keskuskatu 1.

Would you like to volunteer as a facilitator in the "Discussing Loneliness" online peer Group? You can do it from the comfort of your own home!

The aim of the online peer groups is to reduce the experience of loneliness. The online Group gives people experiencing loneliness the opportunity to share experiences and think about solutions to reduce loneliness together with others in who have the same experience. Each Group will have max 15 participants and will meet once a week for eight weeks.

In the "Discussing Loneliness" online Group, discussions will be supported and guided by two online volunteers using ready-made Group material.

The Red Cross constantly receives inquiries from people seeking support for restoring family links, entering the country, applying for asylum, and other caruoius service-related questions. We are currently seeking volunteers to provide online help for migration work, aiming to enhance the support available through digital platforms.

Online help volunteers for migration work must be at least 23 years old. Previous experience working with immigrants is beneficial. Volunteers must have fluent written and spoken English skills and the ability to collaborate with other volunteers.
