         <description><![CDATA[<div>The definition at the end of the passage should provide the "definitive" take-away for students; yet the use of the word "purports" likely confuses the issue we are trying to clarify for our kids. Do they know what "purport" means? Instead, could we use words they better know to make the definition more meaningful? Suggestion: Non-fiction presents itself as truth though it may contain lies.</div>]]></description>
