http://www.teenhealthandwellness.com/article/504/sleep-and-sleep-deprivation Why is sleep important to our human life? Sleep helps you feel better. It affects every aspect of life, including learning, memory, mood, and behavior. A healthy lifestyle requires adequate and restful sleep. how much sleep do some people get? What happens when you don't get much sleep?According to the 2013 Youth Risk Behavior Survey, only 32 percent of high school students get eight or more hours of sleep on a typical school night. Lack of sleep gets worse as students get older. Only 22 percent of 12th-grade girls and 24 percent of 12th-grade boys get eight or more hours of sleep. Without a good night’s sleep, you will probably feel tired and grumpy. You may have difficulty taking tests or remembering information. It may seem harder than usual to work on school assignments. Tired teens might fall asleep during classes or while driving. Not enough or poor-quality sleep can lead to problems in many aspects of life. If you don't get enough sleep how will not get a lot of sleep effect school? whart is the proper time to start school/classes? Is a good night's sleep help you in school? ns can sleep in. In full night’s rest is so important for developing teens that the American Academy of Pediatrics has urged school districts to delay the start of the school day so august 2014, this organization recommended that middle schools and high schools begin classes no earlier than 8:30 a.m. At the time the recommendation was made, 85 percent of schools started by 8:30, according to the magazine New Scientist. Doctors say a change is needed in order to safeguard teens’ health, safety, and academic success. In recent years, about 70 American school districts have responded to this advice by pushing back starting times for middle school and high schools, according to a 2016 report from the Chicago Tribune. A nonprofit organization called Start School Later (http://www.startschoollater.net) is dedicated to educating the public about healthy school hours and the positive effects of later school start times. While you sleep, your immune system is enhanced. The immune system helps your body fight infection caused by bacteria or viruses. Getting plenty of sleep can help you recover from an illness. When you don’t get enough sleep, your immune system is temporarily changed. For example, the number of lymphocytes decreases. Lymphocytes are white blood cells that help fight off certain infections.

Sports are also a great form of exercise and that improves sleep quality. When you exercise, your mood also improves. 58% of high school boys and 51% of high school girls play sports and all are fit. The other percentage of high schoolers that don't play sports, however, are seen as overweight. There are also many different kinds of sports like team sports and individual sports, extreme sports and non-extreme sports, winter sports and summer sports, contact sports and non-contact sports, aerobic sports and anaerobic sports.

Some people like to go on diets on the other hand people starve themselves. one way to prevent becoming obese is exercise. All you have to do is lift weights push ups sit ups bridges and much more all those things will help you prevent becoming obese. Another thing to do is eat healthy. here is evidence to support my thinking. ''The U.S. federal government’s MyPlate plan is a general guide to what kinds of foods (and how much of them) you should eat. It was developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and is based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which are updated every five years. The USDA and HHS realized that the ideal amount of food intake differs depending on a person’s age, gender, and daily activities. In 2005, the USDA introduced MyPyramid, which included an interactive food guidance system and a personalized eating and exercise plan for each individual. The most recent dietary guidelines for 2010 were released in January 2011, which focus on helping Americans make healthier food choices and aims to combat the obesity epidemic. In June 2011, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and First Lady Michelle Obama announced a new, updated way of helping Americans make good food choices. This new plan is called My Plate and it is based on the 2010 dietary guidelines report.

The MyPlate plan replaces the MyPyramid food guide. The new MyPlate graphic shows a familiar mealtime image of a drinking glass and a plate separated into four different colored sections—an easy-to-understand visual that shows how much of each food group you should be eating. Half of the plate is filled with fruits and vegetables. The meats and beans category from MyPyramid has been changed to proteins and includes legumes, nuts, fish, and poultry. The sweets, fats, and oils category from MyPyramid has been removed." And," Some, of course, have an easier time staying fit than others. For “natural” athletes—those who seem as though they’ve been born athletic—fitness is a matter of lifestyle. They hardly have to think about it. They’ve played sports for as long as they could walk. For others, staying fit is a lot of tough work. Exercise seems hard."

Are you new to the fitness scene? You’ve probably heard that fitness can be the key to a long and healthy life and that it’s good for your heart, your lungs, and your mind, but you’re uncertain why. You know you’d like to get in shape, but perhaps you don’t know where to begin."

http://www.teenhealthandwellness.com/article/151/exercise-addiction- Exercise addiction is a real problem. It is a disorder and you do not want to be involved in this. Exercise is a good thing but too much could be bad. It exemplify's that you have to be skinny and you cant be overweight to be normal or popular. It exemplify's that your body must be in shape to be handsome or pretty. But that is not true. People are turning exercise into beauty. Here is a paragraph from the cited text above,"Since the 1980s, people have become more aware of the connection between exercise and good health. At the same time, there has also been more of an emphasis on using exercise to change and improve their appearance. Take a look in your favorite magazine. Is there an article about exercise? What does it say? Does it emphasize health benefits, like preventing heart disease and strengthening bones? Does it talk about how and why exercise makes you feel good inside? Or is it about how to get a flat stomach and firm thighs, or how to lose weight? Experts believe that the emphasis on exercise as a weight-loss tool is causing a sharp increase in the number of people who exercise compulsively.

Because exercise is considered admirable and healthy, compulsive exercise is easy to hide. If you told your best friend that you threw up after every meal, your friend might be shocked or upset. But if you told your friend you exercised every day, he or she would admire you for your discipline and commitment. You can see how exercise can become an easily hidden addiction.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to look good. But when you feel that being thin is the most important thing in your life, and you believe that gaining weight is the most awful thing that could happen to you, then it is time to reexamine your priorities."

It is when your body has too much mass causing aching and needing surgery. There is too much weight on the body and your bones begin to start scraping together. Here is a quote from teen health and wellness,"Human weight is a big problem—in more ways than one. Obesity, the condition of having an excessive amount of body fat, has become such a serious concern that health professionals have attached the “E” word to it: epidemic. In fact, in June 2013 the American Medical Association (AMA) voted to declare obesity a disease, or a medical condition that requires treatment."
