Professor Quirinus Quirrel is the Threshold Guardian because he stood in Harry Potters way at something important.

The Shapeshifter was Professor Mcgonagall because she could transform into anything and can trick the hero.

The Allys were Hermione and Ronald because they were friends to Harry Potter and supported Harry and helped him throughout his journey.

The Herold was Hagrid because acted as a signal of the coming change in his life providing messages while on his journey.

This all shows that they all had tests that they were all good at.
