I would like to use Hypatia because as a math teacher I struggle with writing and typing equations. I typically have to Google "how to" type equations on Google Slides/Google Docs or I have to find an image and screen shot it. I also am not as familiar with typing math equations as this is my first year teaching math. Utilizing Hypatia will help me tremendously and it looks user friendly.

I really like Unsplash. I like that it has awesome images to add to my slides plus we don't have to worry about infringement issues. I would use this to add background knowledge and maps and pictures to my slides from our novels we are reading. For instance, maps of where stories take place and images to represent vocabulary words so students can get a visual.

I have used Peardeck with my students. However, I would like to use Nearpod. I like the features that was mentioned in the video that I have Peardeck does not seem to have. It seems like a great way to self pace my students.

I am going to try the Slides translator. I have quite a few students who only speak Spanish. This will allow me to help them understand what I am trying to teach.

I love using Nearpod on my Google Slides. It allows me to easily add interactive features to every presentation I create. The increase of student engagement is phenomenal.

I would like to use Nearpod. I like that it has a bunch of different features of the other add-ons but they're all in one place! I like the interactive features of polling students without requiring that they have an account. These interactive features would hopefully lead to increased engagement with students.

I am going to try using the poll feature in Slido. I will use this when I give my students pre/post tests when I am giving classroom presentations. This would be a quick and easy way to gather data to see if I need to make changes to my presentations.

Unsplash looks like wonderful way to add images to slides and gain student interest. Since the images have been approved for use there will be no need to worry about copyright issues. I like Peardeck and Nearpod and have used both in the past. The way to interact with students and keep everyone engaged is a huge selling point. I would like to try Slido, especially the word cloud feature. It can be a great way to get a sense of how the class as a whole is interpreting the subject matter.

Extensive Fonts

I really liked Extensive Fonts. I am always looking for exciting fonts when creating slide shows for my students. This would also be great when creating Websites and you want the site to look fresh and new. I have used Pear Deck and love the interactive slides that you can create. Lastly, I have used Nearpod with my students while they were only online but didn't realize there was an add-on with Google slides. The add-on for Nearpod looks fantastic.

The entire video was great so I'm going to talk about a few that I would use with my class. I really like UnSplash because the variety of images are amazing and I could use them with my students on a variety of projects and creations like science or social studies. I also like Flaticon because students always love to express themselves with emojis so having little pictures will make whatever I'm presenting more relatable and help them to express themselves too. I have a lot of ELL students so when presenting to parents I could utilize Slides Translator to have options so they can read and understand what is going on in class.

I've actually tried Unsplash before. Probably better for older age groups as the freemium model makes it disappointing for those who see an image on the resource only to find it's behind a paywall. Extensis Fonts is an add on I'd probably use to enhance my own presentations and (if it can be installed on their Chromebook) I'd probably also have students add. It's surprising how many of them actually like to choose just the right font for the things they're creating. I think Flaticon is something students would like to use as well since there are so many picture choices built in, again...the subscription tier is a barrier with elementary students. I'd certainly like to be able to use PairDeck or Slido. It's all a matter of learning how to build lessons around them. It's unfortunate the amount of time needed to plan a lesson itself and then figure out how to effectively use the technology components. Planning on taking some Nearpod specific training to learn how to use it.

I have used NearPod and PearDeck but not in a google slide. I would like to be able to use it in google slides. I would also like to use Extensive Fonts. I would like my slides to be exciting and eye catching to my students.

I think Nearpod is the one add-on that I will start to use in my class. I use google slides often but mostly used Peardeck last year when we were working at home. I have another teacher who sends me a nearpod lesson weekly on what we are doing but I have yet to figure out how to use it.

I want to start using Pear Deck in my Google Slides presentations. I have taken a lot of courses for CUs and the instructor almost always uses Pear Deck which has given me some great ideas. Using Pear Deck to gauge students' feelings at the beginning of a Google Slides lesson can help set the tone. Pear Deck can make any presentation interactive and engaging.

I don't use NearPod in my classroom, but I would have loved to have this available during distance learning. If I were to use one in my classroom, I would try NearPod with Google slides so parents have a more interactive experience at home.

I love extensis fonts and Nearpod! I use Nearpod almost every day with my students. I did not know how to create the "fill in the blank" feature before. I will definitely be using that. Also, I want to try hypatia. It sounds perfect. I have spent several hours in the past trying to incorporate mathematical equations and symbols electronically. So...yay!

I like FlatIcons for adding colorful clipart. I've used some of the others, . I like some of their filler pages, which I can use to remember to check in with students at various times to see how they're doing. I would add those slides to the screen, but unless remote, it would be useful to ask at various times. Keith A.

Being a math teacher, I think I would use Hypatia the most. Especially in my Algebra 1 class where I need to start using more specific math symbols. Even getting exponents into a document can be challenging at times and hypatia gives the option instead of having to type "x^2". This would create less guessing from the students being able to have math equations in a slide show they way I would write them on paper, or how they are shown in their textbooks. I don't use slides for notes very often, but now having this math editing option with the Hypatia add-on, I may look at creating some presentations for notes again, possibly adding on nearpod to use it for poll questions to collect informal data while presenting.

The add-on I would like to use in a slide show is slido. I could use it a the beginning of the lesson to get some data on present levels for students, or how they feel about the concept. I can use it throughout to check for understanding. I really liked the word cloud which would be great for brainstorming.

I am so excited about some of these Add-ons. I love the Unsplash and the Extensis Fonts. These will help to make my slides look so much better and add some variety into my google slides assignments. As a math teacher, I am excited to use the Hypatia Add-on. This will make it so much easier to type equations into my slides. Having all of the math symbols in the same place will save me so much time when creating assignments. I have used Peardeck in some of the online classes that I have been taking, but haven't utilized it in my own classroom yet. I really do like this program, and need to find more time to explore it. I think that I can use Peardeck to have students take surveys, or type out their answers to questions that I post. They can also use it to explain how they solved a math problem and read how others in the class solved the same problem. It would be a great way to start conversations about the different approaches to solving math problems.

NearPod I think would make a great addition to my classroom. I think this would be a great resource so kids who are absent could still complete the lesson on their own time. Since part of my curriculum is geography the field trip option would be really fun to get to "take" students there. As well as being able to ask students questions throughout. They also have a lot of material made so will defiantly I will be checking this out. I also love using tickets out of the door to check for understanding to ensure students understood the lesson. Also, the little check-ins are a good way for students to brain dump what they have learned.

I like the idea of using the poll feature in Slido. I'm always looking for a way to engage all students and gauge their understanding before and after learning a topic.

I plan to add Slido to use with my students because I like to use polls with my students. Because they are still learning to read, I have used emojis as the options in the polls in our Google meets. However, with Slido I can use word cloud to get their responses and they will see their peers replies too.

I love the image options from unsplash and that I do not have to worry about taking something that was not meant to be shared.

Nearpod has so many cool features included in the add on. I particularly liked the virtual field trip option that gives students the option of doing 360 and VR tours of a place. I assign virtual field trips through Google Classroom links, but being able to use it in slides could make it a more complete assignment in one place.

I love the idea of how Unsplash works, specifically knowing that the use of the images won't infringe on any copyrights. Further, I like that the default size of photos are the default of the entire slide. This will be a valuable tool to help with quickly adding some flair to my Google Slide presentations. I would also share this with students so that they have a resource for images without worrying about copyright infringment themselves.

I think slides translator would be a good one to use at this point in my teaching career. I've spent many years at a school where the number of second language students was low for a long period of time. I also didn't use a lot of slideshows. With the transition to teaching the computer science standards, I'm using a lot of the code.org slideshows and while code.org itself has great tools embedded for students to set the site's activities to a student's home language, the part where I'm using the premade slideshows must leave the second language friends bored senseless. I should probably translate and share copies with those students who need the translation.
