I first started out by creating mold out of wire and making the parts stay together whether by twisting the edges or covering with tape.
When I was finally done with the mold, I began to put together the wood over it, sticking it with hot glue. Ceaser said that the hot glue wouldn't work and my mold was too weak, but i knew that with the right management would hold it nicely. Guess you were wrong Ceaser.
Finally done, I fixed some details and cleaned my part, hope I achieved what was asked of me.

Morning:
After a small lecture with Solange and Leopoldo, we were given the task to create typography for our protest poster, by playing around with words and thinking of a catchpharse for the project. Mine was "My roots should not excite you", since the theme is about racial sexualization. I made lots of different types and even tried writing in other languages, such as japanese, arabic and spanish.
Afternoon:
After lunch, we started working on a poster only using words. I understood wrong the idea at first, but Sol guided me. I had an idea almost immediatly, i wanted to write down the same slongan in a black paper with white paint in all languages i searched, highlinting the negative (not)with gold posca. It was a bit complicated, and since I was trying to make everything the same size and etc, it consumed a lot of time, so I had to rush it. I wish Solange or Leopoldo would've talked to me during the process, I get really stressed when I don't receive feedback, in my head I wonder if it's good or if it's terrible? Anyway, when I was done, I realized I did not enjoy how the spanish slogan came out, I thought the "no" was too in the middle, making difficult to read.

After comparing our cut outs with other people in a group of four, we started to experiment our protest with what we've got. I printed some pharses in different fonts to help me play around with the request. I loved the way it came out, the typography is strong, the woman appearing is an brazilian icon for black resistence, and the black background gave it a final touch. Honestly, i could stare at it the whole day (and will probablly frame it on my room)
Afternoon:
Michael separated me and some other people in a group to go to the print room and do another poster with stencil. I really didn't want to complicate things, and absolutely not to use details. The typography part was easy, and with the woman i simply cut out the shadows, so it could look like a person. I choose the color red for it is a strong colour.

Paulinne and Carlos gave us a handbook which contained examples of good and not so good research, as well as some tips for how to write and what to write in it. Good research is when you also reflect about what you learned from it. After that, in the classrom, we played around with photography, the first we needed to insert things in it, in the second we needed to subract from it. For the first, I painted something silly using acrylics, and what inspired me wasn't especific, I just found it funny beacuse I made ir look like a demon-dog constest or something. and overall it looked trashy. While for the second, an image of a priest holding a cup, remineded me of the sing "Cálice", so i blurred out the face of the priest and wrote the lyrics over it. 

Afternoon: continuing with the photographies we had, the third one Ceaser asked us to stich it, i had extreme difficulty with it, since i have no idea how to sew, so I asked for help from Letícia. The fourth picture was a lonley boat at the sea, and our command was it to destroy the image either by punching, piercing, tearing apart, etc. With the tip of the scissor i made a soft cut, it looked like wind, so i countinued on. There were some parts that it made a deeep cut, I enjoyed the result.
After it, we had another class with pauline, this time was about the reflective journal, which they also handed us a handbook. I was Carlos "cobaia" for the task about describing your day in words. As time went by, Paulinne told a bit more os reflection with carlos, which really made me feel inspired to write it down. Anyway, one thing that I felt like it was missing in my presentation was content. I wanted it to be sorta like "lambe lambe", full of information, attracting the public to come closer and read each one so they can get the confused feeling out of their heads. The only regret I had was that maybe i put a bit too much detail on the hair.
After Lunch we began on doing te posters for our exhbition and the placa. I had difficulty at first cuz I didn't know what to do, but then it hit me thatI could do something a bit more reckless, that somehow could scream trough the paper, and so i did, based on the reserch of languages of the first day.
We has to make the placa by pressuring. just like when we made our sketchbooks. Honestly, monique did most of the parts for me, I just saw the wood, and glued the bases with another.

Later i found out the problem was with the file itself, but i didnt have time left, so i just went straight to the print studio to make a gold effect on the back of the prints. When i finished that up, i wrote down a bit o research for my project. After it, i stayed from 8pm to 22 pm trying to create a different biding techinique since the one I was going to use did not work out. Thankfully the new one worked and looked nice, but i took a lot of time to make.
