"I can’t believe my summer is almost over. It feels like it went by so fast, and now I’m trying to hold on to these last days in Jamaica before heading back home. The weather is so warm and and beautiful. The ocean is calm, and I keep thinking how much I’ll miss seeing it every day. There’s something about being here that makes everything feel lighter, like I don’t have to worry about anything. It’s crazy to think I’m about to start 8th grade. Part of me feels ready for it, but honestly, another part of me just wants to stay here where life feels easy and fun. No school stress, no rushing around, just family, laughter, and music in the background everywhere you go. I’ve been trying to enjoy the little things because I know once school starts, things will get busy, and I’ll probably wish I could come back. So for now, I just want to enjoy every last second, breathing in the topical air and making memories I won’t forget."
