I kind of agree and disagree!

1. There are many inappropriate messages, videos, and pictures may harm some kids. And may become pretty rude.

2. Youtube has some very educational videos, Australia doesn't have to ban all of Youtube! There are so many more appropriate videos!

3. I recommend Australia to only ban certain websites. Like Facebook or instagram based on inappropriate

   messages and content.

Overall, I think this is a good choice but maybe reconsider what websites to ban.

1,I disagree social media and other things are essential to the growth of the children because when they grow up the tech will be different then they need to catch up on the new tech.

2,Even tho the kids may be mentally sick Australia could just put a time limit to stop children from using their electronics too much

1. Prime Minister wants the parents to know that "social media is harming our kids," and that they have their back.

2. Kids can be harmed very easily with social media.

3. And from the article itself, "Mr Dutton said it was a “defining* and critical issue” for many Australian families and it was well past time that this action was taken."

   No Yes.

2. Kids should not use social media, because if they watch too much, they will act like what they see on social media.

But I also believe that not all social media websites should be banned such as youtube where their are many educational videos, but still there should be adult supervision when doing so.

1. I 100% agree as cyberbullying can lead to many risks of young teens being fat shamed, roasted and told of for what they looked like.

2. I agree with the opinion of Australia as kids that have so many texting apps (e.g snapchat, whats up, twitter, instagram etc.)can write something hurtful and by accident when they actually wanted it to be a joke

• also over the passed weekend, many teens between the range of age 16-17 have suicided themselves of fat shaming and long-term bullying even with tik tok dances bullying the children.

2) I also agree for the tiktok because people can take videos of evrything, whenever, wherever they want.

2. Me and my friends use snapchat to text or take photos and on snapchat you could only take photos and text so i think snapchat should not be banned

Social media (Instagram, Facebook etc.) in Australia have been banned under the age of 16. If a social media giant (A big company or organization) were to neglect this, they would be faced with a $50 million dollar fine.

Opinion:

I strongly believe that this is a bad idea considering the fact that they are not as open to virtual things, but I understand that they may be vulnerable to inappropriate content too.

2.The second point is that, if kids under 16 are always going on social media, it might stop your brain from developing more.

3. The last reason is that , often kids under 16 might be getting cyberbullying banning social media stops all of these from happening.

1.Some social media can help like Youtube for learning to make things or play an instrument like Guitar.

2.It will protect younger kids from inappropriate language like swear words.

My conclusion is that it can help protect but it might limit some learning

2) Sometimes there are nice peopkle on the internet and sometimes there are mean people but most people won't talk to the mean people and people can just block the mean people.

3) Some websites and videos on the internet can teach you how do do something and educate kids.

1] In the last six months Australia's kids have been bullied, and just around 44% of kids have been cyber bullied.

2] Cyberbullying rates have increased by 16% since 2019, and this has impacted many children globally.

1. Going on social media too much at a young age will stop your brain from learning.

2. Your brain won't work properly because it will only remember what you watched only.

3. Some kids watch their phone while eating at the restaurants, they get so addicted that if their parents gave them a leaf, they would still eat it.

1. Social media is addictive, and so you will stay on stay on social media for a long time.

2. It's bad for pupils.
