         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>What is a peer review?<br></strong>A process where academics/researchers evaluate the quality of other academics work. <br><strong>What is the process?<br></strong>1. Submitting the article to a journal where the journal editor will decide if it is suitable. <br>2. The editor will contact two/three other researchers who will read your article and advise the editor. (Originality, presentation of results, conclusion, standard)<br>3. Taking on board recommendations from previous stages. Changing article and resubmitting until accepted.<br><strong>Why is it used?<br></strong>To help the publisher decide whether a piece of work is valid, factual and suitable enough for publication. <br><strong>Where would you find peer review content?<br>- </strong>Library article databases (will be tagged as peer-reviewed)<br>- Can be published in journals and as articles<br><strong>What is the potential problem with peer review?<br></strong>- Takes away originality<br>- Takes away opinion <br>- Biased opinion from person who is peer reviewing it. <br>- Time consuming - less care taken over time.<br>- Relies on volunteers - hard to find suitable volunteers.<br>- Plagiarism (other researchers might copy the work and submit it to another journal).  <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

These Peers work inside the same academic field as you.<br><br><br>1) Submission<br><br>2)The submission will either be rejected if it doesn't meet the basic criteria and sent back to you, or it will be accepted for review by the Chief Editor (First Screening)<br><br>3) It Is then seen and lby two separate reviewers<br><br><br>4) The Chief Editor will see the text next, before a 3rd reviewer hecks grammar.<br><br>5) The Author will revise<br><br>6) There will be a second review by the Chief Editor.<br><br>7) If accepted for publication, it will be sent to the Editorial Board meeting<br><br>8) It will then go through the publishing process<br><br><br><br>It ensures that submitted articles are suitable for the readers of the journal, and it helps create a constructive discussion.<br><br><br><br>Anonymous peer review prevent the Author from knowing who has evaluated their text.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Write the thing.<br>2. Give it to a colleague or expert to go through it and give feedback.<br>3. Correct the wrongs and add any other information which is given from the peer.<br><strong>Why is it used?<br></strong>For accuracy and to further validate a hypothesis which may be evident in the thing.<br><strong>Where would you find peer review content?<br></strong>Libraries, scholar based websites and universities.<br><strong>What is the potential problem with peer reviews?<br></strong>Regular human error, going too deep into a particular subject and missing the main point. If the peer is not informed or educated on the subject which is being reviewed, their input can be seen as invalid or even bias. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A peer review is where academics and peers in a similar field review your work to validate the research.<br><br>Step 1: The process begins by submitting your article. The editor will then decide if it's suitable for the journal or not.<br>Step 2: The first round of reviews take place. The editor will contact 2 or 3 other experts in your field. Then you'll be given feedback telling you what changes you should make.<br>Step 3: You revise your article and then resubmit it. You may or may not be asked to make further changes.<br>Step 4: Accepted. Next is production.<br><br>Why is it used? <br>It it used to help validate research and make sure all of your findings are accurate. The process also helps the editor decide whether to use your work or not.<br><br>Where would you find peer review content?<br>You can find peer reviewed content in the library database. They can also be found in journals.<br><br>What is the potential problem with peer reviews?<br><br>The reviewers could be biased against you or your topic.<br>Some reviewers can turn out to be fake in the modern day.<br>Not all problems may be found.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>What is a peer review:<br>After completing a journal, the editor will decide if you have followed the journal's guidelines, if it is useful for the readers and if the journal is suitable for the article.<br> What is the process:<br>the editor will contact 2-3 experts in the journal's fields. <br>They will read the interview and decide whether the editor should publish it. <br>The journal needs to be original, have a clear structure and be reliable.<br><br>If this process is accepted, you may edit the journal based upon the reviewer's comments. The experts or editors may ask you to make further research before publishing it.<br><br>If the previous step is followed thoroughly, then your journal will go through production/publishing.<br><br>why is it useful:<br>It allows professionals to confirm whether your research is accurate and your conclusions and evaluation is consistant. Peer reviews ensure that the journal adheres to the editor's standards.<br><br>Problems: <br>Biased.<br>Time-consuming: experts very busy.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

The author can the make edits and resubmit until it is accepted for publication into a journal.<br>Potential problems: time consuming, disagreements, differing standards, questionable integrity, not as much scope for new ideas, anonymity issues in small fields, occasional fake reviewers, bias and competition, stealing papers and ideas.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
