I really enjoy the works of Donna Tartt and what appeals to me is that she won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for her book, The Goldfinch. I also like the fact that she doesn’t follow the status quo when it comes to writing and is very open about her process taking a long time.

I look up to Stephen King because of his insane work ethic of publishing 50 novels with most of them being all successful or adapted into media (King & DeFilippo, n.d.). I love his writing style and if I had to choose one person out of this whole list to appreciate it would be King, he is very inspirational to me and there is no other author that compares to him in my opinion.

I usually think it is distasteful to place politicians on a pedestal but I truly look up to AOC because she made history as the youngest woman ever elected to Congress (Cannon, n.d.). She is a strong female leader and despite the strong opinions about her, every time I see a video of her, she is fighting for what she believes in and is very passionate about her work.

I truly think there is no other poet like Sylvia Plath. Her style and articulation of words is what I aim to emulate someday.

I'm not too sure if this counts, but I really resonate with Padme Amidala from the Starwars Prequels because during her time as Senator and Queen of Naboo, she is very passionate about justice and peace for the people of her planet and the entire galaxy. I truly think that I would do everything exactly as she did if I were to be in those movies, fighting to stop war and starting the Rebel Alliance.

Taylor Swift

I added Taylor Swift into my collection because I appreciated how she has fairly payed everyone on her team and every work who helped her make her tours possible. She gave her truck drivers $100,000 bonus as well as many more generous bonus' to those who made her tour come to life (O’Kane, 2023). I also enjoy her song writing skills and a lot of her music and how unproblematic she is.

Typically when I involve myself in politics, I make sure to balance my opinions with news from both parties to draw a final conclusion about it. Despite the certain clips sent out of context, when I discovered Tomi Lahren, I found her segments to be honest, logical, and educated. She is also unafraid to express her viewpoints even if they appose the opinions usually tied to Fox News.

Aside from her pink and bubbly aesthetic, I really resonate with Glinda from Wicked as she is such a complex and layered character. She goes through so much growth from the beginning of the movie to the end which is truly inspiring and commendable.

I really love Jo March from the book Little Women, because she doesn't let her circumstances , such as being woman in the 1800s, discourage her from her passion as a writer especially in a time when women were not regarded as equal.
