This book was created by Olga and Fatima. The process was:
1) Fatima and Olga did henna designs on each other.
2) They showed their artwork to the class. The class was very interested and started asking questions.
3) I created a collaborative google table where students could write their questions.
4) Fatima and Olga found answers and wrote the answers into the table.
5) They added photos of each other's designs and also added some photos from the internet. They also added a video.
6) We spent an hour learning to use Book Creator. Fatima created her book on her Android tablet and Olga created hers on her iPad. They worked on the layout and design and then decided to add the audio in a separate session.
7) They added their audio. No problem on the iPad, but the Android had some glitches. I checked with Dan Kemp, one of the developers at Book Creator, who told me they are phasing out the Android app in favor of the web-based app which will be ready soon.
