The security noticed movement in an elderly couple's luggage when they placed their bags through an x-ray machine on 25 November.

"There was a white plastic bag with lots of black items moving inside," security guard Xu Yuyu

When asked why they were transporting the cockroaches, the husband told officials that they were an ointment for his wife's skin.

Beijing Youth Daily says that because living organisms are not permitted in on-flight hand luggage, the couple chose to leave them with security staff. The fate of the cockroaches is unknown.

He doesn’t see glass. he doesn’t see concrete, or steel. he sees lovers with an ocean standing between them.

His materials are clear, but his balance between certain things is unexpected: he gives free-flowing water a geometric edge. rock-structures seem as sharp as they do smooth and together, it all feels as chaotic as it does calming — dynamic, yet stilling.

Never have such sturdy, rigid materials looked so fragile and beautiful.

France's biggest rock star Johnny Hallyday has died after a battle with lung cancer. He was 74.

Hallyday, whose real name was Jean-Philippe Smet, decided he wanted to be a singer after seeing Elvis Presley on screen in 1957. Hallyday was nicknamed the French Presley by his numerous fans.

He has had health problems in the past. In 2009, he underwent surgery for colon cancer and was put in an artificial coma in a US hospital, following complications after a hernia operation.

“It’s a battle that I am fighting proudly with my wife Laeticia at my side. I will go to the end for all those who love me.”

In a statement, his wife Laeticia said: "Johnny Hallyday has left us," the AFP news agency reports.

"I write these words without believing them. But yet, it's true. My man is no longer with us.

"He left us tonight as he lived his whole life, with courage and dignity," she said.

He died in her residence in Marnes-la-Coquette during the nitgh between 5 and 6 december.

Currently I am in the second year of a bachelor’s degree specializing in interior architecture at L’École de design Nantes Atlantique, I would very much like the opportunity to join your team for a work placement for two to three months this summer ( between july and october). 

The course I am attending has enabled me to develop my architectural and software knowledge. I also like to take on a challenge and responsibilities in every project I design.

Every year I set myself new goals to enhance my student life experience. This was indeed the motivation behind taking part in the ‘4L trophy rally raid’ last year.  This year my aim is to leap into the unknown by looking for an internship abroad. My goals are to improve my English and further explore and discover my chosen line of work under the watchful guidance of the staff of an agency like ***.

Motivated, full of enthusiasm, never one to say ‘no’ to a challenge… just say the word and I’ll be on the next plane!  It would be with great pleasure that I would come and do my first internship with you.
