Its a book about a boy named Miles Halter who leaves to go to boarding school to find adventure in his boring life. He meets his roommate who gives him the nickname Pudge and soon after meets his roommates friend Alaska who he immediately falls for. She, unfortunately for Miles, has a boyfriend. Despite this, he becomes her friend and they become quite close. But then, something horrible happens that forces Miles to ask just how well did he really know her? I highly recommend this book. Beware, heavy subject mater and tear inducing.
