         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the Industrial Revolution people started to live in one room that usually had 5-9 people. Because there isn't a lot of room people started to get more sick and diseases spread rapidly. The work during the industrial revolution businesses were popping up and many people were in need of work so they set their wages as low as they wanted to. People worked usually 14-16 hours a day and received about $8-$10 dollars a week. </div>]]></description>

This led to an increased use of fossil fuels which caused even more pollution. Also, Forests are cut down for their lumber, and ecosystems are destroyed to create roads, strip mines and gravel pits. </div>]]></description>
