I think that they are very kind, caring and understand that there are many needy people in Singapore. Personally, I find voluntary work brings great satisfaction and joy. For example, the first Saturday of every month, I will go to Kampong Glam Community Centre with my father and help out the elderly by serving food for them, organizing a lucky draw so that they stand a chance to in some essentials, have an exercise programme with them and even cut their hair. When I see the look of joy on the elderly's faces ,i feel very happy that i can help them

I think that each of these children have the hearts to serve and have a lot of compassion for the needy and the people that they are serving. When they are doing volunteer work, they will need to put the needs of others before their own and will sacrifice their precious school holiday time. I feel that these children are good role models for everyone, even adults. Personally, I find voluntary work meaningful and fun. Once, I went to an old folk's home to help my mother with a bit of voluntary work. Although I was shy at first, I found myself carried away, talking to a lot of the elderly. Surprisingly, I discovered that I was able to converse with them quite easily, despite my limited ability to speak any of the Chinese dialects. That day, I learnt that a willing ear is better than an eloquent tongue. To sum up, I think that these children are very caring people.

They will also help the poor spend money wisely and help them do grocery shopping is needed.
I actually find voluntary very fun because I get to help do stuff and it is very satisfying when I see the smile on the faces of the needy young or old.I feel that they are satisfied and when I see that , I am also satisfied.

I think very highly of children who do volunteer work during the school holidays. These children are very selfless as they sacrifice their holiday to do work for free. Honestly speaking, we rarely do anything not benefitting us for free. For example, most of us do not study because we have the passion to study. Instead, I believe that most of us study for the sake of gaining extrinsic benefits that our parents have promised, or maybe under the watchful eye of our parents. At such a young age, I am very surprised that children can even possess this kind of selflessness. I am too selfish to even think about doing volunteer work during the school holidays, let alone take action. This abstract value of giving back to the society is not embedded in many adults, let alone children. However, these children are so kind and compassionate to have the passion and motivation to do volunteer work. I have never done volunteer work before, except during the p5 camp where we were forced to pick up rubbish on the beach, which was also the activity that I had disliked the most. But now, i am full of remorse for being such a self- centered and selfish kid. These kind children have planted a seed of kindness in my heart, and I cannot let this plant just wither and die. I promise myself that I will make it a point to do volunteer work every now and then when i have time on my hands.

I think that those children who do volunteer work during the school holiday are very kind-hearted and helpful. They "sell" away their free time of playing to do these work without any salary. Not many of us are willing to do volunteering work or it is just that we are to lazy and would just want to eat and sleep. Some children also would just play their time away. Not studying or voluteering. Honestly speaking, I don't know which one is better... STUDYING or VOLUNTEERING? Volunteering is helping those in need for free, spending their time there. Studying helps oneself to have a better and brighter future. So in my opinion, volunteering is better as it proves that you are selfless and is willing to help the society and not selfish who just think for oneself.

They work very hard and were not being lazy like everyone else who just stay at home and play video games. We can volunteer to help the needy by donating them food and water. I think that each of them have very kind souls and have the heart to put aside things like the homework they were given for the holidays and their spare time to help other people who are less fortunate and rather poor. They definitely work very hard and are not lazy. Voluntary work is worth it as seeing smiles upon people's faces is so satisfying and brings joy to not only me, but to others as well. i admire these children and think very highly of them as I never see many people doing these sorts of things. The fact that they sacrifice their holiday time to help other's is very touching and heart-warming. They are very good role models and I think we should follow in their footsteps to be a better person.

I will continue to make time to do volunteer work as it is a very meaningful activity.

I feel that they are also nice as they think about the less fortunate people than just thinking about themselves. these people who volunteer are surely not lazy because if they were lazy they would not volunteer as volunteering takes a lot of hard work. Helping others also brings you joy as they would feel happy they had help the not that fortunate people.I appreciate the help they are giving to the poor and needy. These selfless people are very good role models for everyone of us even adults. One example of helping is that after you have finish your homework you can go to some charities to do some volunteering work. But personally I would not want to volunteer even though i know helping people will make many people happy. Honestly, i will not sacrifice my time. After the video, i have changed my opinion.

I think that the students who spend their school holidays doing volunteer work are very thoughtful, compassionate, selfless, caring and kind. They are willing to sacrifice their relax time (school holidays) to volunteer and help the needy. During the school holidays, most people will pick this time to relax, go on a holiday or maybe (just maybe) , they will revise for their examinations (if they are near). Honestly speaking, I will not sacrifice my time to do volunteer work although I know that it brings happiness to others and puts a wide smile on their face. I will usually travel to Malaysia and visit my grandparents, revise, read books or text (like CRAZY!!!).These kind children have planted a seed of kindness in my heart, and I cannot let this plant just wither and die. I promise myself that I will make it a point to do volunteer work every now and then when I have time on my hands. When we help someone, we can clearly see that they are happy and grateful to you. You will then fell a warm sensation in your heart. Not only during the P5 Camp did I pick up rubbish, I also do it in Brownies (my CCA). A man once praised me and the group of fellow brownies that we were very thoughtful by picking up the rubbish thrown by inconsiderate people. I always donate some of my toys during Toys From The Heart and Walk For Rice. I feel that they are good role models and that we should follow in their footsteps and change yourself into a better, more helpful and compassionate person.
Whoever is reading this, here's a quote to sum up everything!"
