After splitting into small groups I was assigned to listen, monitor and later record interview outdoors. First we had to figure out the equipment given ( James helped us out if we could not guess it). My group had two people taking so we had stick on microphones, which we tried to hide into the jackets. Both guys had their mics connected to the transmitters and I had receivers from both which I then plug into Zoom H6 recorder. In with this set up I could listen live and monitor the levels of both. I also helped others to figure out their recording devices. Some guys had boom overhead microphones. After setting up all the devices we headed out to record. We found suitable space not far from the university where where everyone was briefed about the take.
We took 2 solid takes, unfortunately battery in my device died on the second take. Using space at 301 and pulled out the Alan & Heath mixing desk from the studio. Plugged the instruments and mics directly to the desk and laptop using stereo input. Also sending signal to the audio interface "Motu 896 mk3" so we could record into Pro Tools. Then sending signal to 6 Auxilery outputs, 4 mono chanels for each instrument and mic and 2 stereo chanels for laptop.  Signal from these Aux channells going to second desk that is used for monitoring. They plugged directly into the monitoring desk and then with each fader we can control how loud each chanell will be heard from the monitoring speakers. Also wrote down equipment list needed for the Live event coming up in April

Today we recapped what we did on previous lessons and everything about podcasts. After this we listened some examples of "Visceral audio" podcasts. They recommend listening with eyes closed for most of them for full experience. We listened about 5 different pieces and then we were asked to make one ourselves. Combining Zoom H6 recorded sound effects and folie sounds from online libraries created 1 min short story. There were changes of scenery from street to the car and drop to the water after crushing.

Also two monitoring speakers were placed in front of the "stage area" where people perform speaches, which were getting signal from the second monitoring desk using coppy of the original signal send from "group 1,2" from main mixing desk. Then we paired up into small hroups and talked about the ideas about the final project. I came to an conclusion that I would like to do inerview with my friend about how was life in Minesota - USA. She always tells me how much snow it is there the most of the year, how great the lakes there are in sumer. Also always mentioning the american food and drinks like example "nerds" or "Mountain Dew". The rest of the set up was similar to the previous ones. After successful sound check we put together list of equipment that will be required on the day. It was also shared with the broadcasting team. Ben was in charge of putting line up of the performers together. I decided to go with interactive interview that I recorded beforehand.
I decided on structure and then edit the voices acordingly. I little bit of music was used at the begining to introduce the show. Also a bit of music at the end and in-between used as reference to the content that we talked about. Sound efects were also used to enhance the listeners experience and help them better imagine the enviroment as it is visceral audio.
Followed by mixing where I got the levels right and sounding good. Mastering of this audio was quick mainly just make sure that its not clipping.

There was some equipemnt booked for us like portable recorders, boom mics and clip on mic with transmiters and receivers. First we set up those devices and and made sure that we are able to record. The correct setting were of course 48KHz and 24 bit audio.  We went up to 4th floor "Walking space" and found free space to use. Everyone was given roles to be on set. We had two boom microphones recorders, two clip on recorders, man behind camera, producent, a person with clapper board and two actors. We did about 8 takes from different angles and and dialogues. After that we were advised to record room sound which is basically the ambience of the room where we did the recordings in case we will have to replace some of the dialogues later on but with the same ambience. We were also avised to record the dialogues on break without the camera, just to capture the takes once more with close up mics.
After that we packed all equipment and went back to studio where we were given different tasks again. Some people went to set up Pro Tools session, some poeple went to do the medias transfer with all SD cards collected and other group went to set up microphone and screen in the Live Room for ADR - Additional dialogue Recording. After collecting all the recording we found out that only one recoring out of the four mics was usable. Although we still needed to do some ADR. James showed us smart way how to be replacing and recording additional dialogues in Pro Tools. We all got to sit in the "hot chair" and doing a bit of enginering.

We started at 9AM according the schedule and started to carry all equipment up to the roof. We met up there with the Broadcasting students who we were collaborating with on this project. Once everythong was in place we started to set up microphones, speakers and both desks. After few succesfull soundchecks we went for lunch at 1PM according the schedule. Once everyone was back from luch break we oppened up the event and started to perform. We were split into cmall groups so everyone got to do engineering bit on either the maind desk or the monitoring desk. There was two bands, one solo artist and my self performing DJ set at the end. This was all recorded and streamed to YouTube by broadcasting team.
