This helps them stay on target. Ex: Goal Map or Course Reports

Conference with students to make sure they are on target, ahead or behind.

Encouraging students to set these goals and try their hardest to meet those goals. Setting these great habits allows them continue to do this as an adult.  Once they start meeting these goals it builds their confidence and they have a sense of purpose.

How can you grow students in these leaderships attributes? (Collins) Modeling how to execute goals. Show that the teacher has bought in to this process. (Collins) Identify the differences between the drive to be successful and the actual systems and formulas that will lead to success. 

How does drive contribute to building student agency? (Collins) If you can figure out the structure you can figure out how to move through that system and be successful.

Students can grow in this area by seeing others (and myself) model this often in the classroom.
