Based on author Neil Gaiman's story of the same name. We're dealing here with a girl that has a desire to...discover, I guess? Incredibly curious. It was made into a weird animated movie several years back (with some real Nightmare Before Christmas kind of vibes) and this stays truer to the source material of the original book. Long, but certainly a good choice for people who are into that fantasy, character-driven genre (with a hint of spookiness throughout).

Heavily inspired artistically by manga, this girl is going to conquer some fantastical obstacles in her life which will, metaphorically, be inspired by true obstacles she is dealing with emotionally. Our protagonist here is a newspaper reporter who we first meet in the 1930s/40s New York. He happens to be a reporter at the time in history when superheroes are beginning to exist, so it's mostly the perspective of the average citizen now existing in a world of the extraordinary. We explore how it feels to be, suddenly, not as important or powerful as others all while keeping your impartial objectivity as a reporter. We follow this man growing up through the four issues as he navigates getting a family and shifting his perspective on the world.
