I like the way they combine text and photography perfectly in there magazines. This is something I intended to do in my food project and did so. I used a mix of imagery and bold text to give a impactful feeling just as vice magazines do. I've also researched Ray gun magazine which I love, I enjoy looking at the designs they create in the magazines and find it very captivating.

During the Food project I tried a few different ideas and approaches some that worked some that didn't but I think that adds to your development of the project. I used a mix of software such as Photoshop for the designs and image making, I used InDesign for putting the layout together with images I made on photoshop and and the text in InDesign.

I think a few of my final outcomes were successful but I also couldn't get the look I really wanted, this mostly came down to running out of time on the project and having to stay with what I had created instead of trying a few different approaches. All though I do believe I came out of the project with some good final outcomes.

I learnt a lot from this project such as certain techniques in InDesign such as using anchor points on text boxes to manipulate the way the text looks, such as bending it round shapes and images. All though in the future I would take a different approach to the project and would do way more research before creating my final outcomes, as I have learnt that your research helps a lot with creating your designs.
