Under the Rehabilitation Act, students with disabilities should receive a public education program that benefits them through federal financial support given to public school programs. In addition, the rights of students with disabilities are reinforced through the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The Act includes that Special Education is a direct service and should be made available to all students with disabilities through appropriate evaluation, programs designed to meet specific needs, Individual Education Program (IEP) and that the programs occur in a least restrictive environment (LRE).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) was originally passed as the Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EHCA). IDEA replaced the term handicapped with disability and describes disability categories that makes students eligible to receive special education and specifies the related services and aids that students may be entitled to including AT devices and services. Although the funding source was limited, IDEA requires that schools provided FAPE in public schools.</div>]]></description>
