1. Recuerda que el inglés es distinto que el español.

Quiero decir que uno se expresa de manera distinta en inglés que en español. Las estructuras de las frases cambian de un idioma al otro.

Si haces una traducción literal, te va a salir mal.

2. Haz las frases cortas y sencillas.

En español tendemos a hacer las frases más largas, en inglés mas cortas. Yo recomiendo limitar una frase a una sola coma, o sea, dos oraciones.

Luego empieza una nueva frase. El lector se pierde si la frase es más larga.

3. No te compliques mucho.

Intenta usar los tiempos verbales que ya conoces, y el vocabulario que ya dominas.

Escribir es una buena oportunidad para usar vocabulario nuevo, por supuesto, pero si usas demasiado el diccionario, pierdes mucho tiempo.

Además, las palabras que sacas del diccionario a veces no son las correctas, sino traducciones literales que no suenan muy bien.

4. Revisa lo que has escrito después para corregir los errores pequeños.

Hay errores pequeños que cometemos al escribir. Si revisamos los podemos evitar.

Errores comunes son las cosas que ya sabemos, cómo que el adjetivo va antes del sustantivo. Los verbos en pasado si hablamos del pasado. Cosas por el estilo.

El mejor truco es este: léelo en voz alta para escuchar como suena.


5. ¡Lee!

Leer es muy importante, porque el lenguaje escrito es distinto que el hablado, y porque así nos acostumbramos a ver las estructuras y el vocabulario.
