Part 3 concludes the book with a LOT of drama. Summarize what happened with all of the main characters and explain whether you would have ended the book the way Bradbury did. If you would have done it differently what would you have liked to add or keep out of the story? Do you find this novel optimistic or pessimistic? Did you like the novel? (This is your chance to share how you feel about ALL of it).

Beatty wants Montag to burn his own house because to make Montag redeem himself and to have honor for his job but Faber's advice shouldn't be ignored on running away because they both know what the consequences are.
3. Beatty knows that Montag can't be persuaded with words anymore and has to resort to violence to snap him out of his book fantasies. Montag returns the violence at Beatty because he doesn't want to go back to his old view of the world and wants to continue reading the knowledge of books.

1. I think Mildred reported Montag because she was scared. Mildread knew he was breaking a very huge law. This shows that Mildred doesn't trust Montag.
2. I think Beatty wanted Montag to burn his own house because Beatty wanted him to understand the consequences of owning books. I think Faber's advice on running away was a good idea because he wanted Montag to be safe, but Faber didn't know a hound would chase him.
3. I think Beatty resorted to violence because it is the only way he has been taught to deal with conflict. Montag returns the violence because Beatty threatens to hurt Faber. He also resorts to violence because Beatty knows Montag will not change his mind.

Summary:
Montag gets away from the hound, and while he is in the woods he comes across a group of older men. The older men take Montag in, feed him, and let him sit by the fire with them. Granger shows Montag the chase and how the police killed him, but they faked it. Granger explains his plans to Montag about how they are going to help rebuild the world again by reading books while retaining the knowledge then burning them. They invite Montag in on their journey, and he accepts. On the journey they see the war start and the city being bombed. Montag becomes scared for his wife's safety, and he knows she will die. After the bombing is over they continue on their journey to find others to help them.

- I like the way Bradbury ended the book because it gives many possibilities of what could happen. It makes the reader think and imagine what is coming next. I especially love the quote said at the end, "And on either side of the river was there a tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month; And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of nations." This quote gives insight of what could happen in their future. They were coming to heal the nations and show them the knowledge of which has been forbidden.

-I found this novel optimistic because Montag keeps trying to unfold and show the truth even though everyone tells him it's wrong. He believed it would change the world for the better.

- I liked the novel because it showed something that could happen in our future with technology and how people think.
