The topic of this project is about Activism. Firstly I research the meaning of Activism, according to the Cambridge Dictionary Activism is about the use of direct and noticeable active to achieve a result, usually a political or suicidal one. This topic is related to the society problem.

I research three case of art works about Activism. First one is a art work by 19 year- old student, she creative an art work about sexual assault. Currently this problem is very serious in the world, so she use this inspiration to creat a map about human body relation to sexual assault.

Next one is an art work is street art, which is related street harassment. This art work called Stop Telling Women to Smile. Now a days, many females have street harassment problem. STWTS started in Brooklyn in the fall of 2012 ,they draw the picture about female portraits and some slogan about street harassment on the walls to let people more pat attention this problem.

There are many artists who like to use some extreme ways to express their art and express their ideas. This next piece of performance art from Petr Pavlensky shows him sewing his mouth together to protest the detention of cat riot riot members. This is also a new way of artistic expression which is very common in our life now.
https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2017/01/26/impact-of-sexual-
assault_n_14416532.html
http://www.tlynnfaz.com/Stop-Telling-Women-to-Smile
https://www.widewalls.ch/magazine/protest-art

Public art is not a form of art. Its measure can be tremendous or little. It can tower fifty feet tall or call consideration to the clearing underneath your feet. Its shape can be special or practical (or both), and it may be cast, carved, built, amassed, or painted. It can be site-specific or stand in differentiate to its environment. What recognizes open public art is the special affiliation of how it is made, where it is, and what it implies. Open public art can represent community values, improve our environment, change a scene, increase our mindfulness, or address our suspicions. Put in open destinations, this craftsmanship is there for everybody, a frame of collective community expression. Public art could be a reflection of how we see the world – the artist’s reaction to our time and put combined with our claim sense of who we are.

Public art can be seen everywhere in our life, among which there are many different kinds, such as some installation art graffiti and so on. There is a lot of installation art in my city, such as some sculptures. Most of these works have profound meanings for the city. There are also artists who create works of art in public Spaces. I learned some information about public art through the video. After watching the video, I found that most of them have profound meanings, and some of them are related to the government, such as their views on the government and their ideas. In my opinion, public art is to create art and design the environment in public open areas. The main thing about public art is to integrate the work into the space and the environment and that's what I learned in the video
