Planet Research: Mercury

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the smallest in the solar system. You could fit 18 Mercurys inside Earth. Its surface is rocky with craters, and there’s almost no atmosphere. It gets super hot during the day (430°C) and freezing cold at night (-180°C). Mercury has no moons, and it takes 88 Earth days to orbit the Sun. But its day is 59 Earth days long.

Fun fact: Mercury has ice at its poles. It's one of the fastest planets too, orbiting the Sun in 88 days.

Space Phenomenon: Solar Flare

A solar flare is a huge explosion on the Sun that releases light and energy. It happens when the Sun’s magnetic fields twist and snap. These flares can mess with Earth’s technology.

Fun fact: A strong solar flare can disrupt the internet and mess with communications on Earth.

Comets and Meteors

Comets are icy objects that form tails when close to the Sun. They’re made of ice, dust, and rock.

Fun fact: Halley’s Comet passes Earth every 76 years.

Meteors are space debris that burn up when they enter Earth’s atmosphere, and if they land, they’re called meteorites.

Fun fact: The biggest meteorite on Earth is the Hoba Meteorite, weighing 60 tons. https://science.nasa.gov/asteroids-comets-meteors/

https://www.nisenet.org/asteroids

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_(planet)

https://www.funkidslive.com/learn/top-10-facts/top-10-facts-about-mercury/

Jupiter and Black Hole (Ayham and Yousef)

Black holes Mysterious little balls of unknown matter. But how are they born, what do they do, and why are they so special.

The birth:

It all starts with stars. See stars are on a fragile balance of their hydrogen combustion core expanding and the density causes gravity to pull in the mass of the star.

When this happens there are two outcomes one where the stars core wins and one where gravity wins. lets explain the first outcome first. when the star core combustion strong enough it will expanded rapidly and become a red giant. It will keep fusing elements making it heaver and heaver from carbon to neon to oxygen to silicon until iron which cant fuse more because its nuclear ash cause the outside to collapse in because the core becomes to dense causing it to collapse in because theirs no combustion to push against gravity and creating a neutron star the second dense thing in the universe behind the black whole. If this happens to a big enough star it would become a black hole.

What is a Black whole:

Well we don"t really know its made of a black matter which some scientists think is condensed dark matter. However the mass is believed to be so dense that the gravitational field of it is strong enough that not even light can escape thus making it the pitches black in the universe.But... theirs one problem INFORMATION CANT BE DELETED according to our physics, But theirs one solution what if all the information that goes in the black hole can separate from the black whole containing the information in the black whole in a small universe that cant be accessed. There another theory that it can be printed on the event horizon of the black whole with holographic projection so if your in the black hole you wont know that your in a 2d plane but you'll fell like your in a 3d plane so that all we could know of is that were inside a black hole maybe the universe around us is a black whole but the since is complicated!

Jupiter:

Jupiter born from stardust 4.5 billion years ago from a supernova that is believed to create the sun and the other gas planets. Jupiter is so big that its estimated to fit 1300 earth in side it and has two times the mass of all the planted in the solar system despite being a gas giant no wonder his namesake cam from a powerful ancient Greek "God".Jupiter has no solid surface or core the core is estimated to be liquid ands atmosphere is 44 miles thick. The big gas giant also has a raging storm that's been blowing for 300 Years called the big red spot with winds blowing at 400MPH. Jupiter has 79 moons the most out of all 8 planets with 4 of the largest moons being discovered in 1610 by galalaio . Some of the famous Moons of Jupiter are...

IO:

The most volcanic active body in the solar system

Ganymede:

The largest Moon in the solar system being larger than murcary

Callisto,Europa along with Ganymede:

All showing signs of water and nitrogen which is the base for DNA.

Have you every heard the term of Shield of Jupiter its because its gravitational pull pulls all asteroids and comets that come close to earth so be grateful the we have a Jupiter! Apart from our sun Jupiter is the most dominate body in the solar system earning the right to be called the shield welding king with his 79 Servants.(See what I did there)ok bye pls give me full mark I wrote all of this by myself soueses will be listed down below

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtkqwslbLY8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-P5IFTqB98

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWO-cvGETRQ

Mars:

Mars is the fourth planet from the sun, it's known as the "red planet" but to me, it doesn't look that red, it looks more orangeish brown.. It's because of the iron that is rusted on the surface. Mars has seasons just like Earth! Mars's year is around two years for Earth, so their seasons are REALLY long.. Mars has two moons, Phobos and Deimos. Phobos is slowly getting closer to Mars, so in a couple million years, it might break apart.. :0

Supernova:

Supernova is what happens when a star reaches the end of its life and explodes, the explosion can outshine a galaxy for a week or month. There are 2 types super nova, type 1 is when 2 stars are orbiting each other, one of the stars is a white dwarf which steals matter from the other star and when it gets too heavy it explodes, type 2 is when a star runs out of fuel and the core collapses inwards than it explodes outwards. After it dies it might leave a neutron star a super dense core, or if the star was big enough it might become a black hole. When a super nova happens it releases elements like gold, silver and iron :D

Wormholes:

Wormholes basically teleport you.. they take you from one wormhole to another! Though researchers haven't seen one or found any evidence they exist, there's a theory that they do.. (I don't believe they exist) When I searched it up, you can't even get through one! Though they do take you from one wormhole to another, once you're inside one, you can't get out because it's less than a second that the hole will close. Wormholes are probably not real so ya..

YIPPYYYY :D
