Rapunzel's tower can be considered the ordinary world because that is all she knows considering she was kidnapped as a baby from her tower and she was locked inside by her ¨mother¨ who only used her powers to stay young. Her dream is to leave her tower and see the floating lights that appear every year on her birthday.

Call to Adventure

Rapunzels call to adventure is when she tells her ¨mother¨ she wants to see the floating lanterns for her birthday because she feels trapped inside the tower. When Flynn Rider shows up Rapunzel makes an offer for him to take her to see the lights and return her back home.

Refusal to the Call

Rapunzel's greatest fear was that her mother would find out and be disappointed in her, so when she left the tower she kept rethinking her decision of leaving the tower. Flynn persauded her to stay and she gave into the call to adventure.

Meeting the Mentor

Three people that help Rapunzel throughout her journey are Flynn Rider, Maximus, and Pascal. Pascal has been with Rapunzel throughout all her days in the tower. Rapunzel makes a deal to Flynn about giving his crown back if he takes her to see the floating lanterns, and Maximus helps them avoid the gaurds that are trying to arrest Flynn for theift.

Crossing the Threshold

When Rapunzel steps onto the ground she realizes there is no going back. This world she has never really known holds many mysteries and maybe even danger but she is willing to take the risk to see the lanterns.

Allies, Trials, and Enemies

The first test is when she enters the pub, and it is filled with people who may hurt her. When they try to hurt Flynn, she puts them in their place by showing them that their dreams can come true. Her allies are Flynn, her chameleon, Pascal, and Flynn's horse, Maximus. The Enemy is Rapunzel's "mother", Gothel.

Approach to the Inmost Cave

As Flynn Rider and Rapunzel get closer to the castle and see the floating lanterns, Rapunzel felt like she was doing the right thing for herself.

The Supreme Ordeal

When Rapunzels ¨mother¨ finds her and flynn in the forest her ¨mother¨ tells Rapunzel to choose between her or Flynn and the world shes finally discovering.

The Reward

The Road Back

In Tangled after Rapunzel sees the lanterns with Flynn, he gets accused of only wanting the crown that he stole because his enemies knocked him out and tied him to a boat and set him to turn in himself, Rapunzel thinks she sees Flynn but as they get closer, she realizes it’s not Flynn. Some of Flynns enemies appear out of dense fog to kidnap Rapunzel but Mother Gothel “saves” her. Mother Gothel takes Rapunzel back home and Rapunzel finds out that Mother Gothel isn’t her real mother and that she is actually the lost princess.
