The Neoliberal Self by https://padlet.com/crobinson271/v4sg8y7jcciq3pfo These sessions explore what happens to understandings of the human self in a contemporary capitalist culture where market logic and metaphors are arguably all-pervasive. ‘Neoliberalism’ broadly refers to the ways in which economic imperatives have penetrated social, political and even subjective spheres, and these classes will attempt to define this term and explore the ways in which it has shaped contemporary understandings of the human subject. We will focus on class and ‘precarity’ as central categories for understanding neoliberalism.
