         <description><![CDATA[<p>The first records of Cuy come from the ancient Inca civilization along the Andes mountain range in South America. According to legend, the name "cuy" came to be because of the sound the animal makes, "kwee, kwee."          <description><![CDATA[<p>The Incas believed that quinoa was the "mother grain" and it was sacred. They have grown this food for dietary and religious purposes. Quinoa is grown in various countries, but Peru still leads quinoa production.
