I started researching it on my own and learned that one of my favorite companies uses vertical integration within their company. Amazon! I order from this company at least twice a week. This just goes to show that vertical management and vertical integration within organizations is truly the go to, to be successful!

In light of todays news over the feud between whose chicken sandwich is better, I think that Popeyes should have planned their reveal a lot better so their employees wouldn't want to quit their job in the middle of it! This is an example of poor Top and Middle management. Popeyes came out with a new chicken sandwich, which in turn started a battle on social media between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A. Maybe top and middle management could have thought about how social media could affect them before the release. I don't think that was a considering factor when their goals were set and planning, organizing and leading came into affect.
