         <description><![CDATA[<p>We use dots instead of connecting them together into lines because the "linear equation" shows that all the plots on the graph, lie on the same line. Certain numbers don't connect because they aren't part of the domain and it would be pointless to connect the dots. For example, 2 1/2 doesn't go with the domain w.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>When you are depositing money on a weekly basis the dots on your graph will go up and to the right. The reason why we use dots is for you wont deposit anything more then lets say five dollars and you will only do it once a week so if you did a line it would be like saying that you deposit different amounts of money everyday, which you dont, so use dots.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>We use dots because it doesn't make sense to make a line. This is because Beth will never deposit an amount lower than or greater than 5 dollars. Thus, she will not have a line because she will never have anything other than a multiple of 5.&nbsp;She will never have anything like 10 1/2 so it would make no sense to graph it.</p><p>&nbsp;Also, Beth&nbsp;will probably not be putting in 5 dollars in for the rest of her life. The line wont continue forever and hasnt started in the begginning of time. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;I also think that we used plotted points instead of lines because the plotted points were plotted spescifically for the point itself,&nbsp;not any thing in between each point. There is no possible points between the original points. I think that the lines would mean&nbsp; that there would be a possible point between the points. This is not possible. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>They used dots instead of a straight line on the graph because each dot represented a specific point. The pattern was that each week she added 5 dollars to her account. Since there was never a time when she was adding less than 5 dollars, randomly, then a line would not apply. A line, instead, would imply that she was adding random amounts of money at random times. Since there is a consistent pattern, the dots show that they are on the only point possible&nbsp;each week.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The graph doesn ot make a line because, as opposed to showing a linear trend or progression with many points in between, the graph is portraying a few selct points within a domain, or any unit. By making a line, that would be showing the points are continuous, yet independent events. In addition, all of the points between each dot will or may not occur. </p>]]></description>
