         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Boys went to school. They memorized poetry and learned to play a musical instrument, usually the lyre. They studied public speaking and drama and reading and writing. They also participated in sports.  Sons of nobles went to high school - four more years of learning about the sciences, the arts, politics and government.  The Athenians believed that this type of education produced young people with strong minds and bodies. At age 18, when boys finished school, they were expected to take an active role in public affairs.</mark></div>]]></description>
