In fifth grade, a member of our group got yelled at by their parents when they got their first ever B after not being able to catch up due to being in the hospital for two weeks. This shows how someone's grades can be valued over someone's mental and physical health. So a lot of people, especially teenagers and children, who spend a lot of time on those apps see those people often enough to think that how those people on social media look and present themselves online is the standard in society. This could lead to young adults as well as other people feeling insecure when they don't feel like they fit a certain beauty standard, however unrealistic the standard might be, and thinking that they aren't good enough just because they might not be considered attractive or beautiful by society.

    There are also a lot of influencers who post their entire lives online for the world to see for its entertainment. Online, there isn't a lot of privacy, which can lead to young adults and other people thinking that putting all of your personal information online is the standard and trying to follow in influencers' footsteps, disregarding their own privacy.

    A way to challenge the standard of posting every aspect of your life online is definitely not doing it. Only posting once in a while, and being mindful of what you say and do online, being careful not to share too much of your own personal information or that of the people around you.
