The main purpose was to solve disputes or problems before it leads to warfare. Woodrow Wilson was really pushing it but he eventually dies and congress doesn't join. The downfall of the league is when WWII breaks out and big member wanted to be neutral. </div>]]></description>

People in the Holocaust were put into concentration camps to be used for labor and kept under hard conditions. Extermination camps was where they would go to basically die because they weren't "useful." 1933 was the first Concentration Camp outside of Munich. 6 million Jews died in the Holocaust.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>The Great Depression and Black Thursday (1929-1939)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>During the 20's the stock market was huge! Anyone could take out a loan through the stock market. On Oct. 24, 2929 the market opened and immediately fell 11% and people had to pay off their loans. It hit rock bottom in 1932 in the middle of the depression. The dust bowl was because the farmers were incentivized to farm and then the price of wheat dropped and over farming happened and the dust was blown up everywhere because of the drought. Franklin D. Roosevelt ended the great depression with the new deal and other programs.</div>]]></description>

He didn't turn in the tapes, but when he did he erased parts. He then resigned because he knew he was going to be impeached. This was the start of mistrust between the people and politicians.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This was a terrorist attack where they attacked the twin towers, the pentagon, and most likely the white house.&nbsp;4 planes were hijacked and did suicide crashes into the targets. The people on flight 93 took back the airplane and crashed it into a field in Pennsylvania. It happened because Osama Bin Laden wanted to send a message to America that he disagreed with us</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We were worried that Iraq was building nukes. This was especially scary after 9/11. We did not like Iraq's support of al-Qaeda. It was a big political problem of when to bring the troops home. We eventually did in 2011. </div>]]></description>
