As a reader I connected to this book because I remember when I was in third grade and I wanted an iPod. Me and my mom made a deal where i had to help my dad with jobs around the house and work to pay half she would pay for the rest. I remember the day when I got my iPod it was so rewarding. It was the same way for Salva at the end of the story.

I would recommend this book to anybody who likes fiction stories. Those who also like something that is easy to picture with very descriptive language. You would also like this novel if you like a story that has a lot of family and heartship.

Hit and Miss- Derek Jeter

The connection to this story was you have to think before you do. This was also a main message that the author was trying to get into the reader's head. I've had many situations where I have learned a hard life reason the hard way. In the story derek was a bit of a bully and lost something he was looking forward too.

The people who would enjoy this book are people who love sports and maybe have watched Derek Jeter on TV before he retired. You would also like this book if you enjoy books that have alot of family and friends reltionships.
