         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the chromatography activity, I noticed both the reddish-brown and the blue pigments traveled up the paper while the green pigment stayed where it was placed, but other colors like yellow and orange traveled away from the green as the solvent moved up the paper. One thing I would test further is if a different solution would change the color or the way a pigment would travel. </div>]]></description>

Some of the pigments did separat, likely based on polarity<br>In the future I would try using different solvents (such as a nonpolar solvent like hexane) to try to isolate pigments with different polarities/solubilities.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The pigments brought out from the greener leaves tended to have way less of the brownish pigments than the purple leaves, which tended to only have the brown pigment or no pigment at all. To repeat this experiment, I would take different leaves from more similarly colored plants, so we can see the minor variations in plants as opposed to taking already very different plants.</div>]]></description>
