You may want to provide useful guidance to students about the assessment processes and to clarify the expectations and the criteria with which they will be graded. You may also set out at that stage to equip the students with resources needed to complete the assessment successfully and to plan their way to completing the assessment tasks (eg specific time management strategies, workload management etc).</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Following delivery of the module there should be a module assessment to review all aspects, such as, the guide, VLE materials, student survey, achievement profile including levels of: ontime submissions, 1st time passes, academic misconduct, grade profiles etc.  Would also be interesting to conduct a comparative analysis against other modules to identify whether it's an issue with a particular module, tutor, campus etc..</p><p>Results from the above activity could lead to actions to improve the module for future delivery.</p><p><br></p><p>Ernest</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>DNS</p><p>Follow up communication with the student, by reaching out to them individually to understand their reasons for non submission. </p><p>Also implementing a reminder system that can help the students remember they have a submission deadline.</p><p><br></p><p>Extended deadlines- offer grace period or extensions to students who might be struggling.</p><p>Provide extra tutoring sessions with student to help if they are struggling</p><p>ensure the student has access to all necessary tools and resources, such as good internet, software  or hardware that might be a barrier to submission. </p><p><br></p><p>Arrange a meeting with the academic team to discuss implications of missed submissions- and help the student develop a plan that can help them get back on track.</p><p>Alternative Assessment-offering an alternative assessment that might be more suitable for the students circumstances</p><p><br></p><p>Flexible assessments is another option that will enable our the student submit their assessment.</p><p><br></p><p>Sarah</p>]]></description>
